Storytime... so of course everybody knows Mary J is my "person" and has been forever. But very few people know that before her, I had a thing for Whitney 😂 However, Whitney started doing too much and that was short lived. BUT before her, my first celebrity gf was Brandy Rayana Norwood!! This goes back to 1994, before she was Moesha, Karla, or Cinderella. I knew her as Danesha Turrell. She played Thea Vidal's daughter on the show "Thea". It's so funny because I actually met Thea a long time ago at a comedy club at the Ramada Inn in Fairview Heights, she was doing a show there. I was at the hotel for a Christmas party. Me and Thea happened to be on the elevator at the same time! I talked her ear off telling her how much I loved Brandy and was gon marry her 😂 She invited me in her room! She kept laughing and calling me "coo coo for cocoa puffs". She called Brandy on speakerphone so I could talk to her but she didnt answer 😭 So yea me and Bran been rocking for a long time. Meeting her was a pleasure. She was so cool. She kept talking to me and hugging on me. She said my shirt was dope, although Whitney wasn't on there. I told her I just bought the shirt, I didn't make it! She took a pic and video of me on her personal phone! I told her that she and her daughter were great in their new Christmas movie. Her daughter was there standing off to the side and Brandy called her over and introduced us so that I could personally tell her. I'm late seeing this show as they only have 2 more shows left but I needed a reason to visit Tampa! Ladies & Gentlemen, one of the greatest to ever touch a mic.... The @thequeensofrbtour was a really great show!!All of the ladies from the 90's.. Xscape, SWV, Mya, and 702... but I must say my favorite act was Total!! They did an amazing job. Man listen..... @jodeci @officialswv @druhill4real This show was amazing!! These are the people I grew up listening to. They all still sound great. 3 of the best R&B groups of all time. It's not possible to be at an event where R&B music is played and not hear a song by either of these groups! All of them have hits on hits and their music still knocks TODAY!!
