Dogs are better than human beings because they know but do not tell.” “Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” “A dog will teach you, unconditional love. If you can have that in your life, things won't be too bad.”

The Windermere 🇨🇦area has a new restaurant called Flame & Barrel Restaurant and Bar.

The interior of the restaurant is modern and nicely decorated with barrels and candles which makes it feel chic yet relaxed. The service is friendly and attentive; they’ll come to check on you even if you don’t ask for help.

I started with elderberry sunset 🍹and Fried bree with mixed berry compote and crostini. The drink was fresh and slightly minty flavour. The Fried bree 🍢🧀had a rich and buttery taste with a mild, creamy flavor and was served in the wooden tray which matches the whole team of the restaurant. For the main I tried their Ribeye 12 oz🥩.Their steak was tender and juicy. Then my meal ended with a sizzling brownie with ice cream topping . Brownie was not too sweet, which is my preference for brownies.

Let me know in the comment if you want me to review other options in their menu.

Throwback to my first winter in Canada a couple of years ago – a dreamy spectacle of white wonder! ❄️✨ The entire city draped in a pristine blanket of snow, turning everyday scenes into enchanting winter vistas. The beauty was surreal, straight out of a postcard!
However, reality hit hard when the temperature dropped to a bone-chilling -50. Adapting to the extreme cold was a challenge, and every step felt like conquering a frosty mountain. Yet, the struggle made me stronger, and each chilly day was a lesson in resilience.
Despite the biting cold, there's something magical about how winter transforms Canada into a snowy wonderland. It may have been a tough adjustment, but looking back, those freezing days hold a special place in my heart. Here's to the memories of my first Canadian winter – a mix of dreams, beauty, and the courage to face -50 like a true northerner! ❄️🇨🇦

We (@ms.ariyanaz & @doctor.meggy ) wanted to try a different sandwich in NW Edmonton so we went to
Western Sandwich ,They started at the Bountiful Farmer’s Market at 3696 97 Street NW, and recently they opened their second location too!

You like an european vibe and you are thinking where you should go for lunch ,try Western Sandwich Company restaurant.
I tried a Cubano sandwich 🥪and Pork Grilled cheese sandwich 🥪and the Cubano sandwich was the winner👌👍. It was great to know that the owner is also the chef here.
He pays attention to details when preparing your sandwiches, to make sure you get a sandwich that he approves. They are proud to use natural, local ingredients for their food and that was important to me too.

They are giving a way $5 off your first online order too.

Don't forget to follow to get to know more restaurant and fun things to do in 🇨🇦.
