Ladies and gentlemen, that’s a wrap on @threaded.adelaide

Never would've thought that an idea I had 10 months ago would be screened at the cinema…like huuuhhhhh

Thanks @williamplant.filmmaking for putting up with me for 6 weeks

A huge thank you to our interviewees for being vulnerable, sharing your stories, and trusting us to bring them to the screen; @light__surfer , @luicceatelier , @blakesbyhats , @vanbrussel.official

Special thanks to @safashionindustryassociation and @nathanjamescrane for believing in and supporting this project from behind the scenes. We couldn’t have done it without you.

And thank you to @adlfashionweek for creating a platform that allows creatives to step into the world of fashion and tell the stories behind it.

This project was made possible by the people who make Adelaide what it is. The talent, the stories, the community, and the people backing one another.

If you’ve met me, you know how much I unashamedly rant about @nexusarts and how incredible their Interplay program is!! Especially as a Malawian-Australian artist in this tiny city! Let’s help them keep doing what they do.

This #ausartsday2026 donate to Nexus Arts to Make Art Happen and support the music development program Interplay. Link in the Nexus Arts bio. 🏃🏾‍♀️

versions of MY hair, including my first post-locs wash and go with at least three different curl patterns on my head

I feel connected to my ancestors and grateful for that one tumblr account that made me see Afro hair as beautiful and not something to be fixed‼️
