Big thank you to Nashville Voyager for this interview and write up! I’ve taken a long break from social media and slowly making my way back into this realm.

Working on my mental health has been an intricate part of getting my health fully back on track. I’ve had to shift my thinking on what is going right in my body and not what is not well or working for me right now. It’s so easy to go down the rabbit hole and be consumed with everything that you need to “fix” in your body.

I think our well being will be an ongoing process for us all. But it is not stopping me from living and cultivating the things that make me happy. Which makes me one lucky human! So grateful I’m able to find this space within and continue to grow to learn how to love myself. So crazy how hard that can be! But I fully understand now how important that is if we want to be happy in our bodies and mind and be able to give to others while being present for ourselves.

Also thank you to whoever nominated me to Nashville Voyager. I learned someone in the community sent in my name and I have no idea who it is?! Give me a hint somebody lol! I have a hard time promoting or sharing my pride so thank you for putting me on the spot!😂

Link in bio.:) Thank you to everyone who continues to support and share their love with me. I wish I had the words to fully express my gratitude and how much that means to me. I love you too! 🧡❤️‍🔥🧡

Big shout out to Avvay for the love!

After losing my singing voice during the pandemic, I knew I had to pivot and figure out more creative ways to keep our home and livelihood. We decided to turn our space into a hopeful place of inspiration that could host other musicians, artists, or anyone looking for a unique location for their experience.

(Side note: Voice is on her way back!:)

In the past we turned our living studio in Savannah into a part time underground all ages venues called No Control. It turned into more than I could have imagined and fell in love with hosting all kinds of acts. Working in set design in the past reminded me how of how much I loved that experience as well.

After much painting, thrifting, incorporating our families heirlooms and creating art for the space we opened our home to productions.

So far, so good! Grateful for the bookings and fun we’ve had thus far with it!

So if you’re in Nashville and need a spot for your next production or writing get away give a holla or pass the word.:) If our location doesn’t fit your look there are plenty of other options at @avvay. <3

Thanks again @avvayhq for the write up too! Link is in my bio.:) by @ms.jackpotjane

“Behind every mask there is a face, behind that a story.” -Rubin

I have always wanted to make masks and elaborate fashion pieces. This is my first attempt at a mask. I thought about what calms me and helps me stay connected… nature is one of the greatest for me. So I wanted to cover myself with some of my favorite pieces of nature. Next is learning how to make actual casts of my face and body parts to adorn. I can already see some amazing shoulder pad accessories coming for new performance pieces!💃🏻

Tomorrow is my birthday. It is bringing up all kinds of feelings! I normally don’t tell anyone unless I’m asked haha. I’ve wanted to hide in so many ways lately and I think making a mask right now is appropriate.:) There have been many questions and hurdles that have honestly had me a little upside down lately. But I know that I can only hide so much without moving backwards. We can get so caught up with worrying about days ahead and what our future and life holds. What I’m really trying to embrace is being present in the right now. I can only take each day as it comes and do my best to treat it and myself as graciously as I can. Dressing up and letting masks speak for you too I’m finding helpful. I want to feel as beautiful inside as I try and make the masks beautiful on the outside for me. 🌺

So here’s to allowing myself to feel all the feels instead of pretending that they’re not there and shoving them way deep down. Like I know so many of us do! Here’s to trying new things and pushing yourself into that uncomfortable space! Here’s to not knowing what is ahead and being ok with it. Here’s to trusting that the Universe is pushing me in the direction that I need to be going for more growth, enlightenment and Love. Here’s to all of you that have been so wonderfully encouraging. 🙏🏽
Here’s to all to you and my gratitude for the love that you show and share with me.🧡

“The moon is a loyal companion.
It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human.
Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.”

Happy Earth Day! One of my favorite elements and places to experience on this earth is the Ocean. It always lifts me up and consoled me and gave me hope as a child. It taught me life constantly changes and evolves. It’s mystery and strength will always intrigue me. The world underneath the surface is even more magical. Sending my love to you all hoping you’re getting to appreciate this lovely world we get to inhabit. Take care of it and you! 💫🌎💫
🌺
I love how I get to create with Jack Pot Jane and choose some of my favorite nature elements and bring the love of them inside our hearts and homes.🧡
