28 looks good on me. ✨🥂 This birthday was different — not because I had some huge plan, but because I allowed myself to simply enjoy the moment. I started my day pouring into ME. A spa day, some peace and quiet, enjoying my own company and appreciating how far I’ve come. No pressure. No expectations. Just gratitude. 🤎 Then I ended the night surrounded by family, good food, laughter and beautiful island vibes right here in the city. 🌴✨ It was honestly the perfect ending to my day. I may not have gone into my birthday super excited, but I walked away from it feeling FULL. Full of gratitude. Full of love. Full of peace. And full of excitement for what this next chapter is going to bring. Because if there’s one thing I know about 28… I’m walking into this year expecting BLESSINGS. 🙏🏾✨ I’m growing. I’m building. I’m becoming. And somewhere along the way, I’ve learned that celebrating yourself doesn’t always have to be loud. Sometimes it looks like slowing down, looking around and realizing… wow, I really have a lot to be thankful for. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be transforming our hair space into the Lady Black Boutique Pop-Up Shop at 144 E. 174th St., Bronx, NY. 🛍️ With our little one arriving next month, it’s time for us to slow down from doing hair full-time, enjoy our family leave, and pour some love back into the Boutique side of the brand. Instead of letting the space sit, we’re turning it into a place where you can finally SHOP LADY BLACK IN PERSON! Expect to find bonnets, durags, rags, handbags, book bags, accessories, Lady Black merchandise, Mike Sylla Paris designer jackets, gift baskets & more. 🎁👜✨ For at least the next 4 months — through February — this will be our home for shopping, special pop-ups, events and new drops.
