Most people know me as an international businesswoman and entrepreneur, specialising in bulletproof couture, military equipment, and owner of an Artsy Waterside Lounge called Bolívar Bar Lagos.

But there’s another side of me that I haven’t spoken about nearly enough: I am an art collector. 🎨

I’ve called Lagos home since 2013, when I moved here from Miami, Florida, to build my security business in Nigeria. Over the years, Lagos has been home and has given me so much — including a deeper appreciation for the incredible creativity, culture, and artistic talent that exists across Africa.

Quietly, and very intentionally, I began collecting art.

One artist whose work has particularly captured my heart is @alimiadewale . So I was especially happy to attend a fellow collector’s exhibition featuring more of his work. Seeing the pieces together, surrounded by people who share the same appreciation and passion, reminded me just how much I want to continue growing my own collection — particularly with a focus on African artists.

My love for art and artists continues to evolve and deepen.

In many ways, this passion is also reflected at @bolivarbarlagos . I intentionally created the space not simply as an outdoor lounge, but as a place to honor, celebrate, and create a platform for artists and creativity in all its forms.

A space where art, culture, conversation, music, creativity, and beautiful people from all over the world can simply exist and connect.

So, as I continue to introduce myself and the many layers of who I am, consider this another one:

International businesswoman. Entrepreneur. Art lover. Collector. Patron of creativity and most important to my heart a yummy new mom over 40. So many layers I’m now ready to explore and share.

And this is only the beginning of my collecting journey. 🖤🎨✨

So blessed and thankful this season 🤍
My babies turned 2 years and 6 months, my Spartans just won another championship and remain the best flag football team in Africa, Bolivar turned 7, and I welcomed the holidays surrounded by love.

Overwhelmed with joy that our lil Prince Osamakon Cayó has turned 2 years old already. So many wins and blessings has been bestowed upon me on this special day.
All the things life could’ve gave me… It gave me a boy who taught me what love really feels like loud & soft, wild & gentle, all at once.
He didn’t just enter my life, he became my favourite chapter. The one I’d choose again in every version of my life. ~rebel mama

I am beyond grateful and blessed for this next chapter, celebrating my birthday as a mom of two for the very first time. This chapter has given me new purpose, and being their mom is my greatest joy. Best gifts their dad ever gave me ‘Like Whoa’!!!

Thank you so much for all the birthday blessings, messages, and beautiful flowers. Thursday night truly felt like my own party at Bolivar — even though it wasn’t! And yesterday was intimate, simple, and oh so sweet. I’m so thankful to be surrounded by such a beautiful tribe & my sons.

A little note to my sons: Mommy didn’t wait for a seat at the table. I built the table—and brought extra seats.

Unapologetically soft & savage. A rare breed of a woman. Redefining motherhood over 40 and loving it!

Today is the official 6yr Anniversary of Bolívar @bolivarbarlagos and we celebrate next Friday Dec 27th with @uncle__bubu & friends.
