I've struggled with my body my WHOLE LIFE, since I was 10. This trip was me choosing to love her (me). 🍒
Ngl this one feels a little risqué 🫣😅 but lately, living out loud in my skin is how I've learned to quiet the body dysmorphia. The thing about it is that it doesn't matter how many people tell you "you're beautiful" if that's not how you feel inside. You're only free once you stop believing the lies other people taught you about yourself.
Stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, bloat, big arms, a soft belly, stress eating, getting bullied for my weight... I've carried all of it. But one thing about me: I always pick that weight back up and work my ass off for the body I want, as many times as it takes. Loving myself now and working toward my goals can both be true. Little me is so proud. 🥹
With this view I had to tan properly ☀️ I felt like a princess living her best life, carefree and alive.
My mom had some thoughts about this one, and I know it comes from love. But this is for all the baddies with bellies and stretch marks who want to feel lovely and bold anyway. Girl, you look gooood. Wear the bikini. 👙
What's one part of yourself you're learning to love? 👇🏽

Life is so short. Live It 💫
Traveling ALONE, was challenging but also rewarding! I learned so much at the EMBL conference 🤓- made some friends and experienced a different way of living. I missed home while also being grateful for the opportunity. Graduate school you really are the hardest/impactful time in life. 🥹❤️‍🩹💫✨👩🏽‍🔬🔬🥼🧫#latinascientist #phdlife #wlw #traveltheworld #phdstudentlife by @ms_anaramirez

One Outfit✨, many moments. 💫

Hi!

Recently visited The Kentucky Castle for a conference and had a blast with friends. The science was great, but I felt like the presentations could've been better.

That's why I'm considering a Science communication credential during my PhD 😏. It'll be tough, but I'm excited to make science more engaging for everyone 🤩
