Another event in the โIncluding Visibilityโ series is coming soon!
๐ผThis Saturday, we will listen to the sounds of the mbira, a traditional instrument from Zimbabwe ๐ฟ๐ผ, played by @ms_fadzoh a nurse who is โpassionate about culture, art, and crafts, as well as exploring different areas of creativity. When Iโm not working, you can find me playing musical instruments. I come from a family with a long tradition of playing the mbira, and it saddens me that this once-great instrument is falling into oblivion due to various associations. Thatโs why Iโm proud to be its advocate and remind people of its valueโ.
We will explore how music and sound become part of cultural heritage, reminding us of the power of tradition and the vital role people play in preserving and passing it on.
