Growing up, you were my closest family member, you were the only one that I looked up to. I had a bond with you that I never had with any other family member of ours, I could talk to you, joke with you, have a long meaningful conversation with you and just simply have fun with you...
You were the oldest and I was 2nd. We all looked up to you, hoping to one day be as “cool” as you were. Me, My sisters, Donavan and all of us.... every time we were at grandmas I was always excited for your arrival. But things are a little different now. I will no longer get to see your face come through the door, I will no longer have someone older than me, I have no one to look up to.
That’s one less Christmas’s present under the tree.
One less plate on the dinner table.
One less hug when saying hello and goodbye to the family.
One less everything... and who knew how hard it would be to lose you.

Happiest of birthdays to you Riley, today you would of been 23 years old. Right now we would of been sitting around the dinner table at our Mene and papas house singing you happy birthday and eating your favorite foods. But like I had said, it’s different now. Thank you for caring and being the best you could for everyone for the 23 years of your life and thank you for showing me love and support for 17 years of my own life.
Today marks the first 24 hours of you being gone, but I already miss you more than anything. My heart is physically breaking it feels like, I’m emotionless, I’m blank.
You had such an amazing life just as you mentioned. A great family. Amazing friends. You fell in love with a girl... but hard times come and sometimes the hard times win... you are free of pain now, an angel. And I don’t want to say that you’re in a better place because I know that things would of turned around and you could of been happy again, so for now I will say rest easy. Please continue to care and look out for me as you always did.
