I was on my way to work this morning when I came across a post by @isadorabphotography , and honestly, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. 🥹❤️

Out of the 21 photos submitted to Vogue, my photo was selected! I’m so incredibly happy and grateful. 🥹✨

I had actually stepped away from modeling to focus on my profession, but then I got a call from @lepetit_creatif , and I decided to take the opportunity and do the shoot. I’m so glad I did because look at the result! 🥹🔥

😂😂 This photo just transported me straight back to 2017 at Cortland State University of New York!

My girlfriends and I got dressed up that night and headed to Syracuse for a night out. My first time entering a club in America! 🇺🇸

Tell me why I was expecting Nigeria-style nightlife — bottles flying, everybody shouting, “Bring another one!” 😂😭🍾

Only for me to get there and realize that one tiny cup of drink was $20! 😭😂 At a student party too! I quickly understood that this was not the kind of “turn up” I had budgeted for. 😂😂

But honestly, looking at this picture years later makes me smile. 🥹❤️ I was young, exploring, learning, making memories, and experiencing life in a completely different place.

Sometimes you don’t realize you’re living a beautiful chapter until years later when an old picture reminds you. ✨

2017 me had no idea what life had in store. And 2026 me can only say: God, thank You for the journey. 🙏🏾❤️

Here’s to the girl who kept dreaming, kept moving, kept experiencing life — and somehow survived a $20 cup of student-party drink. 😂🥂

Monday Morning, 19th May 2025 💔

Exactly one year ago today, I woke up not knowing my life was about to change forever.

That morning started so strangely. I was restless… unsettled in a way I couldn’t explain. After my bath that morning, I slipped and fell so badly, and for a second, I felt something leave my body. Looking back now, maybe my spirit already sensed the pain that was coming.

I was running late for work, but I still rushed to see you before leaving. I remember telling you, “I’ll be back early so I can spend time with you.” You just kept looking at me… so deeply… like you wanted to say something but couldn’t. The signs were there, but because you were the strongest woman I knew, death never crossed my mind.

When I got the call to come over I didn’t think of death at all… I thought it was something else, something we would handle and move past like we always did.

You waited for me. You held on until I arrived. And when I got to you and you felt my touch… your body went cold.

Mom, thank you for never really leaving me. Even now, you still visit praying for me, covering me just like you always did. I used to complain about your calls 😂 “Why are you calling me 4 times a day like we’re in a relationship?” But today, I would give anything just to hear your voice call my name one more time.

You had the biggest heart. So loving, so selfless, so grateful for everything. And yes, my mother reported me to my siblings every single day 😂. We argued the most, fought the most, annoyed each other constantly… but deep down, nobody knew how much I truly loved you.

Losing you changed something inside me forever.

People say time heals, but honestly, some wounds just learn how to stay quiet. One whole year later and I still catch myself wanting to call you. I still miss your voice. I still miss your prayers. I still miss being somebody’s daughter in the way only you made me feel.

A part of me left with you 💔

Heaven gained an angel, but I lost my world ❤️‍🩹

I miss you more than words will ever explain, Mom. ❤️
