Day XIX | Unbearable Gratitude

This is Forty!
Gathered. Governed. Unrestricted….

At this juncture, I rest in this truth:
God declares the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:9–10).

At forty, the gaze shifts!
No longer hurried, but intentional.

This chapter invites a deeper pivot into what is to come, and into why my gaze remains fixed on Him. Not from habit. Not from obligation. But from reverence for the One who sees what men do not see, who knows what men cannot know. Everything about Him is eternal and His perspective unrivaled…

This fortieth chapter reveals not only what lies ahead, but why it matters.

Grateful for the grace to be gathered, the clarity to be governed, and the freedom to remain unrestricted anchored in the God who knew my ending long before I ever knew my beginning.

And to all who celebrated me with such intention; your love, presence, prayers, and care can never go unnoticed. Thank you for marking this threshold with grace and distinction. I carry it with deep, unbearable gratitude….

Recaps to follow, as I continue to soak it all in…

VIII | THE WEIGHT OF YOUR YES…

In this season, may your “yes” have weight.

We are living in a generation that is quick to speak, quick to agree, and quick to commit, but not always formed enough to carry forward what has been spoken. Covenant must affect how we live, how we speak, what we promise, what we accept, what we carry, and how dependable we become.

Good intentions may initiate a commitment, but they cannot sustain it. Maturity requires knowing whether you possess the discipline, consistency, stamina, and capacity to steward what you are agreeing to carry. Sometimes the most honourable response is not a zealous yes, but an honest acknowledgment: “I do not presently have the capacity to carry this well.” There is integrity in knowing your measure.

Because walking with God should eventually produce something recognizable in us. It should affect the weight of our words, the integrity of our commitments, the way we communicate, the way we carry responsibility, the way we handle trials, and the degree to which others are able to trust us and what we have said.

And perhaps that is the deeper question: What kind of people should walking with Him make us?

Not just people who know how to speak of covenant, but people whose lives have been formed by it. People whose yes can be trusted. People who do not speak beyond what they are prepared to steward.

There is a covenant dimension to our yes.

When we say we will stand, may we stand. And when entrusted with weight, may we carry well.

Chapter VIII — Covenant

Every covenant begins with knowing…

Before the Lord reveals His purpose, He first draws us unto Himself. For purpose has always been the fruit of relationship, never its substitute…

As we enter this new month and chapter, my prayer for you is this:

May we return to the place where the embers of our knowing are revived…

May our hearts once again become anchored in His presence, and may our devotion grow deeper than our personal ambitions, our desires, and the distractions of this present age.
May we never become so familiar with the things of God that we cease pursuing the knowledge of God Himself…

And from that place of abiding, may He reveal His purpose with greater clarity. May He strengthen you to endure every opposition, every delay, every misunderstanding, and every season of pruning without departing from His ways.

May your heart remain steadfast, your hands remain faithful, and your steps remain ordered by the One who called you.

And may He establish you in covenant responsibility; not as a burden to bear, but as the joyful stewardship of one who has learned to walk with God.

May your life testify not merely of what He has given you, but of how deeply you have come to know Him….

Shalom.
