My second class and Module 2 session today with @thefortinstitute was centered on becoming an active and responsible citizen. by @ms_precious.o

Sadly, I have not figured it out. But, one thing? I refuse binning these thoughts. I resist not following procedures.

I cannot pretend to know exactly what I am doing, cause if there was a human representation of CLUELESS, that would be me.

My name is Precious, and the reason behind the is beyond the giver and the bearer.

I would be here till I find my answers.

Well. Bits of my thoughts. by @ms_precious.o

Today, I had my very first class with @thefortinstitute as a cohort 7 fellow and our speaker spoke extensively and comprehensively on the topic of Leadership and how it is assumed or even mistaken and defined as strength, position or title.

Of course, a lot of us know that leadership isn't really about the position one holds but really about how one serves those who they're leading instead of trying to proof and ascert dominance on their followers.

Our speaker, Mr. Tolulope spoke really well about the many misconceptions about leadership and that's one of the major things I took and learnt and also how he was able to explain leadership as service instead of what many have defined leadership to be.

I had to warmest welcome and first session and that's a good start, cause for the next 12 weeks that I am sure will be rigorous, I get to learn new and even more inspiring things.

Thank you, TFI.❤️✊

Last year, I was selected for the Climate Change Community Trainers Fellowship (CCCTF) under @eduforchangeng , pioneered by Mr. Apochi Nelson Owiocho.

The fellowship gave me more than an introduction to climate change; it gave me hands-on knowledge of what climate change is, the factors driving it, how to raise meaningful awareness around it, and its place within the Sustainable Development Goals in Africa and across the world. More importantly, I learnt the value of gathering evidence, understanding what that evidence says, and using it to make more informed decisions and drive meaningful action.

With that foundation, I applied for the YouLead International Generation Data Learn Cohort 2, and I am pleased to share that I was selected as a member and have begun training in proper. Over the next few weeks, I will be learning how Artificial Intelligence and Data Science can be applied across sectors such as entrepreneurship, education, healthcare and, most importantly to me, climate change.

For someone whose work and interests continue to intersect with climate action, this feels like a natural progression: moving from understanding climate challenges to learning how technology and data can help us understand them more accurately.

I am particularly interested in the possibilities that emerge when climate advocacy meets data and technology, from gathering and interpreting evidence to identifying patterns and developing solutions that are responsive to real community needs.

I do not expect these next few weeks to give me all the answers; rather, I see them as an opportunity to acquire the tools, ask better questions and expand the possibilities of the work I can contribute to. Another learning experience, another perspective, another tool for impact. 🌍📊

Note: I really don't know what these dance steps are all about, my friend said if I was really a fan of AEO, I should make a dance video and send to her. (My will too by the way)😂
