I’m not a big soccer fan but having this world cup local was quite the experience and I got to discuss a lot more with my bro @cbaird71 who is a big soccer fan. Here is my highlight recap.

#1 Bromance

Cabo Verde all day!

Go team Canada. The black kit is 🔥

The Egyptian team got robbed. One of the many casualties of the VRAgentina. Also when I realized how corrupt this tournament is. They were playing in our face.

The people’s world cup finals…and this show of sportsmanship really solidified it.

Prayers amongst chaos. Poetic justice…good overthrows evil.

Well deserved! Golden Boot. (I still can’t believe he is only 25, he looks a lot older 🫣)

This has been sitting in my drafts for a while, shame on me🫣, because the Boss Babe Brunch is honestly one of my favourite networking and women empowerment events every year.

I I am definitely NOT a runner.

But my 2026 goal is to run a 5K this fall with @kickbackfoundation.

It actually started last year when I joined run club as a “take one for the team” move to help Real build stamina for soccer. Along the way, I got inspired watching my brother @cbaird71 and my niece Se crush it in their own running journeys.

And coming from a family where it feels like every Jack runs (shoutout @drhazeljack13 and the cousins from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Detroit, and Minnesota), I figured… maybe there’s something in me too.

Well—turns out marathon season had other plans.

I’ll be running in the Toronto Marathon on May 3 with the @theharrisbrandfoundation and @headsetsports_ team… with basically no prep lol.

It’s all for a great cause. Every dollar raised supports mental health resources for youth in our community.
