The story I’ll tell 🫶🏼 -

Here’s the part of me you don’t see or know. I finally feel ready enough to tell my testimony to you all and the reason why I am living the way I am now. It is because of Him, Jesus. I’ve always been a person of faith but never like this. Never to a point where in anything I question, or do, or want to do goes through my Father first.
A big part of my adolescence and young adult life was based off of me trying to figure myself out in life after the trauma of living a life that I thought was “happy”. After growing up in a confusingly happy/sad childhood, wanting to please my parents, not being able to fully express myself and going through quiet and lonely heartbreaks, I found myself lost and unknowingly depressed. From losing a place I knew was my home as a child, to house hopping from high school to college, I felt like I never had a true home. I experienced feeling abandoned by a parent in an unusual way.
All of this led me to believe I can be happy doing things on my own, living on my own, drinking the problems away, dressing immodestly to get attention, and so much more. Throughout all of this, all my mistakes, sins I was partaking in, I always felt like an imposter, like I was trying to make my life happy and NOTHING was working. Of course I had happiness through friends and loved ones, but I knew there was something missing and I couldn’t move on to the next step of my life.
One day, I surrendered to God and gave Him everything I had. I will never forget receiving the embrace of God through my sadness, something I never knew I could actually feel. I knew exactly what it was I needed to do and that led me to everything that has been happening my life these past few months. I now experience true happiness and fulfillment, I have been able to receive peace and love through my obedience and breaking off the chains of my unforgiveness, anger, and the need to take control of everything. I am still a work in progress, and in no way and I claiming to be “perfect”. I just live my life now trying my very best to walk like Christ did, serving others, and spreading the gospel.
