This look started off as many scraps and pants that I had created from previous collections. I decided to make it my closing piece at the one and only @passport_2_fashion. It was my first time showing a collection made of scraps, deadstock, and reworked pieces. The wonderful @kadijamills__model wore it as a two piece and I marveled watching it walk down the runway. It's been seen on the pages of @cincinnatistyle magazine and showcased in my first gallery showing by @ncbae2020, where I shared my textile, painting, and fashion arts. For the @adcfineart Wearable Art Show, I knew this piece needed to hit the runway, but refreshed and reimagined. Over 10 hours of hand stitching, retubing, and reforming the dress into a new work of art that was wonderfully displayed by @mudd3.14
