Taking ship spotting to a whole new level! 🚁

Here’s a video captured by @jodifajar, who goes the extra mile in his ship spotting endeavours. He spots ships from helicopters!

In this case, he captured a fully loaded MSC container ship from above the Natuna Sea, Indonesia.

Seven crew members. One team. One great Barcolana. ⛵️💛

The MSC Sailing Team was back in Trieste for Barcolana 58, joining thousands of sailors for one of the world’s largest sailing regattas.

And what a race it was! Our team finished 1st in their category and 37th overall among 1,858 boats, proving once again that you can punch above your weight with the right team.

But Barcolana is about more than the race itself. It’s also an opportunity to bring colleagues, customers and the sailing community together, both on the water and at the MSC Lounge.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us in Trieste and helped make this year’s event so special.

Thank you for the conversations, Madrid 🍎 🇪🇸

Last week’s Fruit Attraction brought together more than 120,000 trade professionals from over 150 countries across the global fresh produce industry.

For us, the most valuable part was the conversations. Over three busy days, our team shared ideas, discussed fresh produce supply chains and listened to the different needs of our customers.

We also showcased MSC iReefer, which gives customers real-time visibility into their refrigerated cargo, including location, temperature and humidity throughout its journey.

A project cargo move starts long before the cargo moves 🏗️⚓

That’s one of the things we talked about at Breakbulk Americas in Houston last week.

Because with project cargo, no two moves are the same, so careful planning and coordination are essential.

Over the past year alone, we’ve moved railcars from Belgium to Egypt and shipped 6,000 cubic metres of chillers and compressors from Houston to Pakistan. And everything in between.

1,000 vessels. And still evolving. 🚢⚓

This World Maritime Day, we’re looking at how continuous investment, new technology and hundreds of individual improvements are helping our fleet evolve.

In 2025 alone, we completed 265 energy-efficiency retrofit initiatives across our fleet. Since 2008, we have reduced carbon intensity by around 50%, while 66% of our fleet capacity is now capable of connecting to shore power while at berth.

And we’re continuing to invest in the future, with more than 140 dual-fuel LNG-capable newbuilding vessels set to join our fleet in the coming years.

Quite a bow, isn’t it? 👀 🚢

If you want to study the bow of MSC Nigeria up-close, from every angle, here’s your change thanks to this series of drone shots by Wouter van der Mark (@flighalive).

MSC Nigeria was built in 2024 and measures 260 metres in length and 40 metres across the beam. She was captured here sailing from Antwerp, passing Terneuzen on her way out to sea.

📸 Thank you Wouter for capturing and sharing this fantastic series with us.

And about that bow… Its distinctive curved windshield helps reduce wind resistance and optimize airflow around the vessel, improving energy efficiency.

The MSC Sailing Cup keeps getting better ⛵️🌊

Last week, 16 teams participated in the second edition of the MSC Sailing Cup – five from MSC and eleven from our customers.

It was two great days of sailing and competition. And just as importantly, it was a chance to spend time with customers and colleagues in a completely different setting.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Valencia – and a special thanks to @rcnvalencia for helping make it all possible!

Ever wondered what a 14,428 TEU containership looks like from below? 👀🚢

When fully loaded, around 17 metres of MSC Washington’s hull can sit below the waterline. And her propeller measures an impressive 10.3 metres in diameter.

MSC Washington is 335 metres long, 51 metres wide and around 72 metres high. She was built in 2022.
