Lotus Night chenille/ velvet cushions. The inspiration for this design came from a chance encounter with the magnificent swaying blooms of the Sacred Lotus in the @royalbotanicalgardenssydney I was immediately captivated and I knew that they had to be the stars of my next design. This stunner of a flower is found growing wild in the tropical and subtropical floodplains, billabongs, and swamps of Northern Australia and Queensland. I will whisper this admission in case my other designs take offence but Lotus Night is hush hush my favourite design so far. Ms. Chief Designs ~ Splendour in Silk! Part One. Our first foray into silk printing has thus far been a huge success. We received our prints from textile alchemist the lovely Candice @parlourprinting last week and today had the absolute pleasure meeting with Neil Grigg, Milliner To The Stars, where we handed over the silks for him to work his wizardry with. Super excited to see where Neil’s @neilgriggmillinery creative genius takes this project. Thanks again Neil & Candice!! 🤩⚡️👍 Updates to follow.

One of my personal favourite Katoomba destinations is our fabulous Blue Mountains Cultural Centre. The thoughtfully curated exhibitions often offer the opportunity to revisit the works of artists that I have over the years and through visits to various other galleries become well acquainted with. More often though the gallery acts as a sort of liaison officer with introductions to artists that are completely new to me. I find these interactions in particular more exciting and often revisit the same exhibition in order to catch details that I might have missed on my first visit.

While at the BMCC today we picked up a copy of the InSight magazine. We were thrilled to have a double page spread showcasing our products and telling a little bit of our story.

Go on, go visit and ponder over some Art and while there take a wander through the gallery shop and maybe pick up a gift for someone who means the world to you or something for your self.
