‘It took the knowledge of how to piece footage together, place music beneath it and alter the colour until the image felt right. They were ordinary skills, hardly worth noticing, until I reached for them and found they were gone.

I had never been particularly good at recording myself. Most of what survived were training clips, filmed quickly because I assumed I could always make better ones later.

I thought there would be more time. I did not know that the girl in those old videos was leaving behind evidence of a life I would one day struggle to remember.’ by @mschloemcewan

Robot mannequin and minimal robot have always been my favourite robot techniques to explore. The premise of robot mannequin is that at least one part of the body is always in motion. As one movement comes to a stop, it initiates the next, creating the illusion of a continuous mechanical system rather than isolated movements. by @mschloemcewan
