Sometimes we really are our own worst enemy.
That’s been my truth lately.

A word triggers an old feeling. That feeling triggers fear. And suddenly, you’re fighting not to become the version of yourself you thought you already healed from.

Old pain has a way of trying to take root again.

I don’t share this for pity, but for encouragement. People who know me see light, love, laughter and happiness—and that is me. But even light has its darker days.

It’s okay not to be okay. Just don’t stay there.

Moving to Charlotte last year taught me that God is truly in charge. Instead of trying to control everything, I’ve learned to just let life happen. I’m surrounded by amazing people who have shown me new perspectives on life and love.
