POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In my classroom, we are working on ways to reward students for their successes through each quarter! My fellow teachers and I came up with this reward chart, where each student can earn marks in 3 categories to participate in a large reward at the end of the quarter to encourage more motivation :) by @msfleming26

i'm officially a miami alum!

these past four years have been the best ever, especially this past semester that i spent with my host teacher and students at hamilton! i couldn't have done it without my host teachers guidance and my students understanding. i walked across the stage with their names on my stole this weekend because i have learned so much from them, both about teaching and about myself. i am so excited for my future as a teacher 🥰 by @msfleming26

dreading saying goodbye to 201 😢 only 2 and a half weeks left with these kiddos and i can gladly say that i've had the best student teaching experience ever!

i'm so glad to see these kids so interested in their dystopian novels right now, discussing the events with their groups and comparing them to the real world.

i'm also having the best time watching my seniors act out "our town," as they really get into their roles! by @msfleming26

MID SEMESTER UPDATE !

i've had the best time student teaching so far! here's what i've been up to...

i assisted my host teacher with the end of our "of mice and men" unit, ending the unit with essays about the american dream.

i taught an ACT prep mini-unit to my juniors before they took their ACTs. for this unit, i made lots of materials on my own and with help from my host teacher.

i taught a unit on "the great gatsby," which the students have loved! we are now at the end of this unit, writing essays with a focus on formatting and maintaining a singular focus throughout an essay.

up next...

i've made a unit for my senior theatre class focusing on "our town" by thornton wilder, a play which my host teacher introduced to me and i absolutely love! this unit will focus on the impact that we leave on the world.

i'm working on a dystopian novel book club unit, where my students will read various dystopian texts and think about what they say about real life! by @msfleming26
