As I fight through the tears to make this post I have so many emotions; pain, grief and most of all sadness💔 Ashawnte my dear sister and friend, you filled many lives with love and laughter. We shared so many things in common. Our love for children, education and the arts! You were passionate and worked tirelessly to make sure everything was ok. When I had no wind, you spoke life and for that I am eternally grateful. You believed in me, supported my dream and was always a phone call away. Our deepest conversations made our friendship solid and our bond stronger. I know that we should never have questions but… I do? WHY 💔💔💔 We had plans to travel, do brunches, open a school and just live it up! 😔🥲🥲! I knew the one thing that meant the world to you and I promise to do everything in my power to be sure that situation is taken care of. I vow to love on your children and be there for them in any way they need. I will cherish the memories and good times we had always! You will forever have a special place in my heart! @iamniaamber Mommy is so incredibly proud of you! To witness your journey into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a moment I will cherish for a lifetime. If I’m honest, this is something I have always dreamed of.
I remember when you were a little girl, looking at me in awe, showering me with the sweetest compliments, and boldly saying whenever you saw me with my line sisters and Sorors, “Mommy, I’m going to be a Delta.” And now… look at God!
