Embellishing should not distract. I think too often an artist fails to stop. It is always hard for me to add to beautiful form. I ask myself can more make it better?

ART WITH A PULSE. Make a stop at the Art Spotlight and see some works from Margaret Schnebly Hodge. Abstract art becomes a language for what cannot be easily spoken, and Margaret is fluent in that language. Ultimately, these paintings are not about specific places or people, but about the emotional terrain we all navigate—where beauty and uncertainty coexist, and where every ending quietly makes room for another beginning. These works will be on display until July 25. We are open Wednesday through Saturday, 11 am to 5 pm, other days and times by appointment. taken in Art Spotlight by @mshodgeart

Do you like fiber art? Starting this by forming shape with carpet padding remnant. Not sure where it will take me. #contemporaryart #floridaartist #margaretschneblyhodge #artgallery #mshodgeart #artstudio #artcollector #fiberarrist by @mshodgeart

Like Thoreau? Simplicity! A sense of Walden...HDThoreau is a favorite of mine. The constructing process, using found wood scraps and other materials, brought peace to me. Enjoy.
