Msichana Mwenye Ndoto ni Moto💪🏽 by @msichanainitiative

One year after the events of October 29, 2025, the victims’ pain has still not ended and justice has not been served.

We stand together with the families of the victims to demand the truth, accountability under the law, and firm justice for all.

The return to normalcy and everyday activities does not mean that everything is fine.

#MsichanaCafe by @msichanainitiative

Tunapongeza Mhe.

Beyond Gender Commitments: What Will It Take to Build Truly Gender Tranformative and Inclusive Education Systems?

At #IQEC2026, Consolata Chikoti, Executive Director of Msichana Initiative, will moderate a panel discussion exploring what it takes to move beyond gender commitments and build education systems that are genuinely gender-transformative and inclusive.

Policies and commitments matter, but how do we turn them into meaningful change for girls and learners who continue to face barriers to quality education?

This is where the Beyond Aid conversation becomes essential. Sustainable education financing must go beyond mobilising resources to examine how funds are allocated, whose needs are prioritised and whether investments are dismantling the inequalities that prevent every learner from reaching their full potential.

Because owning our future means financing education systems that uphold equality, inclusion and every learner’s right to learn.

Education is a right, not a privilege .

LHRC urges the Government to implement UN recommendations to eliminate discrimination, stigma, and barriers that deny girls access to education due to pregnancy, motherhood, or marriage.

Let’s ensure every child is protected.

Last week, we were pleased to welcome our partner, Echidna Giving, for a field visit to our programmes in Bagamoyo.

The visit provided an opportunity to engage directly with girls, hear their experiences, and see the impact of our work in their communities. Together, we remain committed to advancing girls’ rights and creating more opportunities for every girl to thrive. #MsichanaUwezo by @msichanainitiative

When girls know their rights, believe in their potential, and have the freedom to make their own choices, they become powerful voices, confident leaders, and drivers of change.

Empower a girl today. Inspire a generation of changemakers tomorrow💪🏽 #UnleashYourPotential #GirlPower by @msichanainitiative
