Can’t sleep.

I got woken up by the sounds of what seemed like someone moving furniture across their room 1 million times every 30 seconds. You know the sound of rubber footing scooting across the ground, causing a steady vibration?

At this point, I’ve been awake since 445am yesterday morning I went to bed around 7pm. Woke up an hour and 45 minutes later to use the bathroom and to those sounds and couldn’t go back to sleep. I know have to be up in 45 minutes and I have to work until 1:30pm. I won’t get home until maybe 3pm and I probably won’t crash until I’ve reached a full 24 hours of being awake. Yay! 🎉

This is my experience trying to list as a non rev with my airline’s benefits on Delta. With our benefits we have to list in person at the gate for Delta, or so I thought. But you never know until you try and I wanted to see if I could list at the ticket counter because I didn’t have time to go through security. I was just getting in on a red eye and I wanted to fly later that day. And here’s what I was told. That I could list at the ticket counter but I couldn’t list over 5 hours in advance. There’s a window that you can list and that is 5 hours before departure/boarding (not sure), not outside of that window. I usually never fly any other airline than my own so this was nice to know for the future. If this is wrong, this is what those ticket agents told me.

Maybe it’s because almost 2 years in I just got the hang of being on reserve and I have my system down.

Maybe it’s because I haven’t had a line yet and I wouldn’t even know how to bid.

Maybe I’m comfortable and I don’t know what I’m missing.

Maybe I’m finally senior, even if it is in reserve.

Maybe it’s because I have a car and don’t have to ride public transportation. 🤷🏽‍♀️
