BABY, I’M NOT DATING JUST TO HAVE SOMEBODY TO SAY I’M TALKING TO! 💋

I’m too grown to be entertaining somebody with absolutely NO intentions of building anything.

At 54, my time is valuable. My energy is valuable. And my peace? Baby, that’s NONNEGOTIABLE!

When I decide to give a man my time, my attention, and my energy, that’s an INVESTMENT.

I’m not looking for somebody to text me GOOD MORNING every day and think that’s enough to keep my attention. 😂

Can you hold a conversation? Stimulate my mind? Communicate? Be consistent? Make plans? Show up?

I can give you 15 things to do with your Mama while she’s still here… but I can’t do ONE MORE with mine.

But let me say something, because I know everybody’s story isn’t the same.

Some of you have beautiful relationships with your mothers.

Some of you haven’t spoken to your mothers in years.

Some of you grew up wishing your mother had loved you differently.

Some of you are grieving a mother who’s still living.

And some of us would give anything for just ONE MORE conversation.

This message isn’t about guilt. It isn’t about forcing reconciliation or pretending the hurt never happened.

Because being somebody’s mother doesn’t automatically mean the relationship was healthy.

But for those who have the opportunity to make beautiful memories with Mama, don’t keep putting it off.

Ask the questions. Take the pictures. Record her voice. Have the conversations.

And for those who can’t, whether it’s because of death, distance, or necessary boundaries, I see you too.

Every daughter has a story. And not every story with Mama is a happy one.
