Celebrating Legacy: Clarence B. Lee, Jr. Elementary

Farmersville ISD proudly honors the remarkable legacy of Clarence B. Lee, Jr., a dedicated former principal of Welford School, with the naming of the new elementary school in his honor. Clarence Lee's commitment to education and his unwavering support for his students have left an indelible mark on our community.

As principal during a pivotal time when Welford School served as a vital educational institution for Black children from the 1900s until 1965, Clarence’s leadership and vision provided a safe and nurturing environment for learning. His dedication to fostering a strong educational foundation has inspired generations.

With the establishment of Clarence B. Lee, Jr. Elementary, we celebrate not only his contributions but also the enduring impact of his work in shaping the future of education in Farmersville. This new school stands as a testament to his legacy, ensuring that his spirit of empowerment and excellence will continue to inspire students for years to come.

Also congratulations to the other honorees: James and Mary Hemby, Johnnie Pryor, Marvin J. Schkade and James K. Smith.

Proud moment as my son Bronson is officially pinned as a student attorney for the Investor Justice Education Clinic at Howard University! As a student attorney, he will represent clients, providing invaluable legal assistance and guidance on investment-related issues, while gaining hands-on experience in the legal field. It’s an exciting step in his journey to advocate for justice and support those seeking financial fairness! #howardlawschool #washingtondc #lawstudents #investorjustice #howarduniversity #financiallaw taken in Washington D. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the generous donation of $500 from the FHS class of 1975, along with the classes of '73, '74, '76, '77, and '78! Your support means the world to us and will have a significant impact on our building fund. We are thrilled to hear that the recent reunion had such a wonderful turnout, with over 110 attendees. It’s inspiring to see our community come together in support of the Welford School. Thank you for choosing to invest in our on going project and for your commitment to making a difference. Together, we are building a brighter future for the city of Farmersville. If you have any questions or would like more information about our project, please feel free to reach out. ThankYou. #Welford #farmersvilletx #FHS #classreunion by @mskhaynes
