It’s not the bifocals, it’s not the colonoscopies, it’s not the arthritis that’s making the joints at the end of my left pointer finger look like a tiny behind. THIS is what took me down this morning. I was doing one of those “Do you know these songs?” things on TikTok and I’m NAILING it. Bon Jovi, Whitney, INXS, Flock of Seagulls, Poison, and the absolute Queens that they are, Salt n Pepa. I got them all. All 30 songs. Not bad for someone who loses their keys 431 times a week. My joy bubble was promptly popped-no-EXPLODED, with the message at the end. “If you got all these songs, you know your oldies!” OLDIES?!?! OLDIES?!? Oldies are those doo wop songs from the 50s and early 60s my father listened to. The music of Prince and Duran Duran is not “Oldies Music.” I will be taking to my bed until further notice. #80smusic #genx by @msksail

Class of 2026- I love these kids! I’m so proud of them, it’s always a bit heart stuttering seeing my 4th and 5th graders in a cap and gown, but I absolutely love this tradition! My sweet bestie needs a little help. Those of you who know Christina Hutchinson know that she would rather rip out every single finger and toenail before asking for anything. But she needs this space very much. Please consider donating to help her make her outside space more accessible so she can be outside as much as possible. I feel her grief in my soul. My students are the ages of the children who died today. The injuries are vast. They are K-8 students who were simply attending a back to school Mass. I feel so sick. I don’t want to hear “thoughts and prayers” when these children were murdered while praying. I hope the injured are able to physically heal quickly and well. The emotional injuries will be there forever. by @msksail
