🗣️ Four years later, I’m finally done with this B.S. (W) 😏 If you only knew what it took to get to THIS point…

I started this journey at 34, just three years after I survived the darkest moment of my life, when postpartum depression tried to convince me my story was over.

Today, at 38, I’m walking out as a healed, whole, and a purpose-driven woman. This journey magnified my faith, my grit, my tenacity, and MY RESILIENCE! And through it all, God never left my side.

And in nine days, on December 13th, I’ll be walking across the stage to receive my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, stepping boldly into my calling as a future Mental Health Therapist.

This accomplishment isn’t just for me,
it’s for my daughters, who watched me rise, rebuild, and refuse to give up on myself. I want them to know that broken pieces don’t cancel destiny… they prepare you for it.

So here I stand, a testimony in motion!

P.S. To anyone who helped me in ANY capacity on this journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🥺🫶🏽

Sooooo Zyaire and I stood on the shoulders of a giant. We witnessed in real time what resilience looks like, no matter the circumstances. My mom received her doctorate degree at the age of 55, and now at 61, she continues to show us what it looks like to keep pursuing your dreams.

So as we pass this torch to you, Zyaire, just know there’s no ceiling to success. Shoot for the stars and always remember that your village is here for you every step of the way.

This is BLACK Excellence!
This is LEGACY!

Yes, I ugly cried and bawled my eyes out the ENTIRE time. BUT idc, idc, idccccccccc!!!! 🥹🥹🥹 This was the most liberating feeling I’ve ever felt in my life! It’s one thing to set a goal, and it’s another to achieve it despite any obstacles that tries to stand in your way!

God, I really thank you for this moment! Thank you for carrying me through this journey even when I felt like I didn’t have the capacity nor the mental strength to see it through! Thank you for keeping your promises!

Class of 2025! 🎓

The end of an era.

I’m so thankful I was able to travel back home (in December 🥶) and experience this moment with my family. I hate that I didn’t get a picture with everyone, but I’m beyond grateful they came out to support me, especially in that weather.
