Happy 5th birthday to our sweet Trixie! We of course had to spoil this girl with cake from @petbakery and presents since it’s her first birthday celebration!!! For those that don’t know, Trixie came from a testing facility to Calgary in April. We have no idea what this poor girl went through before being brought to Calgary by @thebeaglealliance She has come a long way in her short 4 months with us and we love her so much. by @mslesliehogan
It’s official! Welcome to your furever home Trixie 🥰 Thank you to @thebeaglealliance for allowing us the opportunity to get to know this sweet pup who came from a very different life. We still have some work to do but totally worth it 🐾🩷 by @mslesliehogan
What a whirlwind back to school week. There was chaos, confusion, excitement and tears but we survived! Grade 1 for Emma, Kindergarten for Nora, and some free time for mama. by @mslesliehogan
Our first 24 hours deserves a highlight. I’ve been saying for 4 years now how much I miss having 2 dogs. So I decided to find the hardest dog to make that happen. Trixie is a 4.5 year old beagle rescue and needs a lot of patience and love. Love I have. Patience I am working on 😜 Her beagle nose is working overtime and we have to be so careful with doors/gates because I feel like she might be a runner. In our first day together we’ve seen walks with a high tail, little tail wags, some playing with toys and a very brief burst of trying to play with Bean Bean who was not having it. Looks like we all have some work to do And in keeping with all my dogs, so far we have Trixie Bear, T-Rex and Trixster 😂😂 by @mslesliehogan
First hike of the season! Took the girls to K-Country for an early morning hike at Troll Falls. Weather was perfect and not many people on the trail. Already planning the next one by @mslesliehogan
**11 years of loving you!** Crazy how time flies! Unbelievable that a massive snowstorm put a damper on our plans for today but we did manage to get out for a quick lunchtime latte and dinner at BP’s at the girls request. Who would have thought when we first met for a breakfast date that 11 years later we would be where we are now??? I love you Patrick 💙 by @mslesliehogan
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATRICK!! You are the most amazing husband and father and the girls and I love you so much by @mslesliehogan
Family trip to Puerto Vallarta! We stayed in Nuevo Vallarta for a couple of days. Loved the area. Didn’t love the food at the resort so moved down to Vallarta for the last 5 days. This was our first all-inclusive we’ve done in about 4 years and while I loved not having to cook or clean I am in no rush to book all inclusive again. But we had a blast! And the girls loved it! Food was great, waterpark for the kids was well used, beach was fun and the people there were incredible. We look forward to exploring PV again. by @mslesliehogan
We celebrated Emma’s 6th birthday at Big Box with pizza, cake, games and a ton of fun. She had a blast with friends and family. by @mslesliehogan
This sweet girl entered our world 6 years ago. 6!! So crazy how time does go by so quickly. This past year was an eventful one for our Emma; trips to Mexico and Europe, a very important role as ring bearer in our wedding, lost a bunch more teeth, and started Spanish immersion kindergarten… just to name a few things. She is growing into a feisty little lady who is artistic, smart, beautiful and kind (well we’re working on the kind part) Happy birthday mi princesita. We love you so so much 🩷 by @mslesliehogan
My sweet, sassy Nora turned 4 today! She requested Hello Kitty attend and so we reached out to Japan (yay @mascotparties) to make sure she was there. Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes, gifts and love. by @mslesliehogan
This was the first year I was not in the mood to celebrate. It’s the first year I’ve noticed and felt the “I’m getting older” in my body. I didn’t want presents. I didn’t want to go out. But it ended up being a pretty nice celebration even if no one really listened to me 😜 Took a couple of nights away just me and Bean Bean for some relaxation and quiet. Came back to supper out with family. Even got a visit in with my sister (no pic dammit) Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. xo by @mslesliehogan
