Still buzzing from being asked to produce this very special collection of songs by utterly incredible people, who I feel very lucky to call friends. Their talent, joy, inclusivity and passion for music is inspiring and I just can’t wait to see how this record connects with people.
Thanks for taking a chance on me ❤️

We recorded most of the album at @salvationmusicstudiosbtn in Brighton with the incredible @jake.staineraudio engineering, assisted by @jackson.________ and sometimes by @pelhamharveysisk . I felt like the record was in a safe pair of hands with us as a team and I can’t thank you enough for that. Then we went into @rakstudios for a few little bits, with the awesome @gili.portal engineering and @katiexforeman assisting. I learned so much working with these two and feel grateful that they were up to the challenge of some pretty full on recording days. Before the main session we also worked on a few songs at @baltic_studios_ with the amazing and absolutely lovely @tonyburrata engineering. What a dream team.

The album was expertly mixed by @leesmithmixer - wow this man is talented and not only that but he really really cares! Also special thanks to @olisavill for lending his super skills on the bongos in coupe de foudre.

Have had a monster year so far with @voka_gentle celebrating the release of our third album Domestic Bliss in February, via the legends at @state51 - really grateful to be playing music with family and old friends (I’m looking at you @middletonoliver @louisgiannamore and @sequoiaziff ) and making new ones along the way. We’ve done a lot of touring and played a bunch of festivals too, with more to come. We’ve also been hard at work recording the next album and the music is sounding better than ever. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again - I’m a lucky lucky duck 🦆

‘Wait Until Spring, Casalingo’ is out today! We recorded most of it in Pembrokeshire aka heaven at @studiowz with the best of people. Owain, Jodie, Basil - I feel very lucky to have met you and to now call you dear friends and to keep finding ways to get to work with you again! Thank you for your incredible skill, your warmth, kindness and friendship.

All the drums on the record are played by Jack Beddis who recorded all of his parts for the whole album in one day - including loads of outstanding improvisational moments. Just an unbelievable pro this man always goes above and beyond. The saxophone parts that ended up being such a key part of the album were recorded later back in London and played by Sophie Burrows, who also blew us away with how quickly she nailed everything and her improvisational passages. The musicianship of these two added so much life and energy to the music and I can’t thank them enough for the creativity they brought.

As you can see from the pics, Oscar wrote all of the songs and pretty much played everything else - and most of this album involved me witnessing him picking up one instrument after another and pushing himself creatively to the max. Oscar thanks once again for having me along for the ride and congrats on such a stunning debut album.

Love seeing artists and producers make the studio their home away from home, when each person in the room makes the person next to them the best version of themselves. 2025 you were heartbreaking, hard, tearful and powerful. Happy to be leaving you behind and stepping into the hopeful unknown. Leaving this year feeling grateful for friends and family for helping me through, and to all of the amazing musicians I was able to play with and record with - it really does mean everything to me and I’m always so humbled and grateful I get to work alongside such beautiful, loving and wise people. Congrats to the very wonderful @stelladonnelly on the release of her brilliant new album ‘Love and Fortune’!!

I had the absolute privilege of producing ‘Please Everyone’ at @bigjellystudios in Ramsgate. With the very lovely @mikeycolsmusic engineering. Awesome mix by @timotheeharvey too.

Stella is a true champion of people and her coming over to Ramsgate to record with me a few years ago was one of the most encouraging moments in my music journey. I thought to myself ‘If Stella somehow believes in me enough to do this together, then maybe I can actually do this!’

It was a strange time in a strange town, quite cold and rainy I remember, although my memory isn’t very good. We made lots of tea and huddled around heaters, had deep conversations while walking around, and once tried to fly an old kite on the beach.

Congrats Stella I’m so proud of you and so happy to have been a small part of this beautiful album. And thanks for being such a great friend and encourager too.

Feeling so lucky to have so many amazing people involved in this and the upcoming projects. 🌊
I missed this so much…I missed sharing that creative spark with others.
