This one is different. My first Australian NBL1 Championship… in my hometown… against my junior club… the same court where I first picked up a basketball. Full circle moment. ✨🏆

What people don’t see are the battles that lead to moments like this. The sacrifices, the tears, the self-doubt, the grind when no one’s watching.

Things I’ve learned:
• This is all faith driven — if you don’t believe, it won’t happen!
• Your mindset & character are everything. One conversation, connection, opportunity could change your career
• What you put in (and don’t put in) will always show.
• My value isn’t defined by one market not seeing my worth — there’s basketball courts on every continent on this earth I can go get buckets & a bag anywhere!🌍
• Professionalism, relationships, and business connections matter just as much as your game.
• Back yourself, trust your gut through all situations no matter how many conversations you have with whoever. At the end of the day every decision you make in this game will affect you & your life only.

This journey isn’t just about basketball- it’s about faith, resilience, and the courage to keep showing up when the world tells you not to. It’s about rewriting the narrative for yourself, and proving that your story, your value, and your purpose don’t depend on anyone else’s validation.

This wasn’t just confetti.

This was every version of me that almost gave up.

Every job I worked just to keep the dream alive.
Every sacrifice nobody saw.
Every rejection. Every betrayal. Every time I was fucked over and still chose to believe.

This past year broke parts of me.

I lost someone I loved deeply.
I watched an opportunity I had worked years for disappear from corruption.
I experienced grief, disappointment and moments that made me question how much more I could take.

And still… I kept going.

Then I came to the UAE and helped a club that had never won a game in this tournament before make history.

A bronze medal.
A podium.
A moment that can never be taken away from us.

And now, I’m part of that history forever.

That’s why moments like this hit me so deeply.

Because the world only sees the confetti.

I see everything I survived to stand underneath it.

You can take an opportunity from me.
You can overlook me.
You can try to break me.

But you will never take my light.

Nothing can stop my shine✨🥉

For years, I thought I was behind.

I thought I should’ve been further ahead, playing at a higher level, living the career I knew I was capable of. I kept feeling like I was destined for more.

Now, at 29, I’m stepping into my first full season in Europe — and I finally understand that I was never late.

Every setback. Every country. Every opportunity of growth. Every rebuild. Every moment I had to choose resilience over giving up… it was all preparing me for this chapter.

And this opportunity hits even deeper for me because I carry one of my best friends with me every step on the court. I lost her to cancer last year and I carry Tough4T on my shooting wrist for her. She gives me strength. She reminds me that I’m not scared of anything — I’m scared of not living my life to the fullest.

So I’m here. Present. Grateful. Ready for all of it.

As a Polynesian athlete, I hope my journey reminds the next generation that your path doesn’t have to look like anybody else’s. You don’t have to arrive by a certain age. You just have to keep doing the inner work and becoming the person capable of carrying and nurturing the dream when it arrives.

I’ve always been exactly where I was meant to be.

Divine timing. And now, it’s my time🌎🇷🇴❤️‍🔥✨
