True transparent moment
Yesterday made 2 years that my life was changed. What the devil thought would destroy me made me stronger. As some of you know I felled on July 9, 2022 while walking for exercise purpose. I sent 13 days in the hospital and left the hospital after having my first knee surgery. I had 11 screws and 2 plates placed in my leg. Then came home in a wheelchair wearing diapers. As a woman in the prime of her life if I didn’t know Jesus this would have broken me, but it didn’t. Then while out of work I lost my car it was repossessed again the devil thought that would break me, but no it didn’t. That was in August and in October I was blessed with another form of transportation and a better and SUV. Then in November 2023 I had to have my 2nd knee surgery. I lost my part time job, since I was unable to drive as much and had to walk with a cane. Then in December I lost my apartment and had to move. The devil thought that would destroy, but God had something better for me. I was blessed with a better apartment that was nicer and bigger. Devil didn’t win again. Then in June I just had my 3rd knee surgery and had a few complications after the surgery, so understand devil you do not win over here. I am not a quitter! Understand this is not to gain any sympathy, but to show how I am a winner. My relationship with God got stronger and my faith grew deeper! What the devil thought would break me only made me stronger! 10 years ago I got a call from the doctor that would cause most people to ask God why, but not me I took the news as my pastor says said ok what’s next @iamcreflodollar. He teaches us it’s how you receive the news that makes a difference! I have faith over fear! I have had to endure chemo and lost my hair, but I kept going. In my @tamarbraxton voice I was like Lupus get your life! I kept going. 10 years later I am here and still fighting and went to the doctor today for my 4 month check-up and my labs were amazing! I will keep fighting! #warrior #lupuswarrior #lupusfighter💜 #ishallwinthisbattle #💜💜💜💜💜💜#idontowntgerightstothemusic this song is very personal to me, because nobody knows what a person has been through, but God! “Well, Praise God I am here. I have fewer flare ups and hate taking steroids, because they make me, and others gain weight. I have a friend Wendy, who always makes my shirts, and they are so funny that it keeps me from focusing on Lupus. It also keeps others from looking at me as someone with a disability. I must stay out of the sun, and I love the sun.

Here I am today and yes, I still fight, and I am a Lupus Warrior! I walk when I can, and my team is Faith over Fear!! I give all thanks to God for keeping me alive. I also share my journey with the hope that it helps someone and encourages others to keep pushing. WE WIN!! This is Me, Dorietta Thomas and I am a LUPUS WARRIOR!!!!!”
