Add “commencement speaker” to my resume because I did that! Such an impactful #TBT. Speech linked in my bio, it was 🔥🔥🔥

For the longest, I hesitated to post on @tabspeaks, thinking I needed the perfect reel and a flawless plan. But I had to remind myself of who I am and who I’ve always been — I thrive in a good scrappy, build-as-you-go moment with a hint of polish.

I’m excited to share more #speakercontent, from behind-the-scenes moments to reviews and recaps. My goal for this space is twofold:
1. To inspire those who doubt they can do it.
2. To serve as a go-to hub for those looking to book me for speaking engagements, training, and events.

Pro Tip: Everything isn’t for everybody. Some people love my style, and others may not, and that’s perfectly okay! It’s the same for us all but I promise, your people are out there!

A Letter to SHE Is Me
From Ms. Tab

As I sit here and think about the last ten years, I am truly blown away. Today I pause to pay homage to what has been, what is, and what is yet to come.

I take a moment to honor the GLUe that led us in year one and served as a catalyst to our foundation. To the young ladies and parents who trusted a crazy little lady with long braids and high energy… what a journey this has been.

I am blown away by the lives we have touched, both directly and indirectly. The families, the students, the volunteers, the donors, the supporters. From coast to coast, literally. All pouring into what started as a small program with a big vision and has grown into something beyond my wildest dreams.

If I am honest, I am overwhelmed. Overwhelmed that despite challenges, changes, a whole pandemic, and several “what am I going to do?” moments, we made it.

And not only did we make it, we adapted. When the world shifted, we shifted right with it. We went virtual, expanded beyond our immediate reach, connected with young ladies across South Carolina and more than 15 states, and welcomed voices from around the world into our space. What could have slowed us down stretched us. That is the story of SHE Is Me. We adapt. We adjust. We innovate. We keep going.

So much in my life has changed over these ten years. There have been highs, losses, growth, and moments that tested me in ways I never expected. But the one thing that has remained constant is SHE Is Me.

This organization has given me space to pour, and in return, it has poured right back into me. The students, the parents, the volunteers, the supporters, the cheerleaders. This entire ecosystem has carried me in ways I do not even think they fully realize. In some of the darkest days of my life, this work kept me going, and I truly cannot imagine my world without SHE Is Me.

When I look back, it is not just about how we started, it is about what we have built together. More than 10,500 hours of mentorship, exposure opportunities, and experiential learning, along with countless programs, partnerships, and moments that have shaped young ladies and their families.
