There are Viltrumites...

And then there is Thragg.

Quick sketch and render. Lost half the footage. Whoops. And yes. It was a happy coincidence that he looks like Don Frye

It is getting near....
For the better part of 2 years I have practiced, read, learnt, and practiced some more. All in attempts to refine skills I have as best as possible to tell stories that run in my head like a movie. In hopes to do them justice with my art.

Within the next month or two that goal, or better yet dream will come true. So I think it only fair that I start doing art and exploring my own characters!

So I present to you the final representation of:
Azazel, the first guardian of Hell.

INKTOBER PART II.

Meet Heric, the main antagonist of EUPHORIC.
Like the Marty piece, this one is another step into the direction my work has been heading lately. Heavier shadows, looser lines, stronger shapes, and a style that’s starting to feel more and more like my own.
These Inktober pieces are becoming a little record of that evolution.
Marty was first.
Now, meet Heric.
More EUPHORIC, and inktober to come. 🖋️

INKTOBER!

It’s been a little while.
I stepped away from posting for a bit while I buried myself in finishing my first comic, building some new folio work, and generally spending a ridiculous amount of time drawing.
Somewhere in all of that, my style started changing too.

So for Inktober, I wanted to strip things back to ink, experiment a little, and start sharing again.
A lot of these pieces will be characters from EUPHORIC, drawn in a style that’s beginning to feel like the next evolution of my work.
Starting, of course, with Marty Shaw, the young man at the heart of it all.

There’s a lot more of this world coming, and I hope I get the chance to share this story with you all.

It’s good to be back.

POV: You design an original character…
She accidentally looks like Mary Jane 🙃…
then you find an audio that fits WAY too perfectly.

Sarah, I’m sorry. You’re MJ for the next 30 seconds. 🤣

It’s MJ’s line, and after 8 billion Spider-Man edits…

Thought it was only right to give her the spotlight for once. ❤️🕷️

Something a little different from the brolic, acrobatic superheroes...

Still recovering from the ending of TLoVM Season 4. Binging all four seasons in a week was probably a terrible decision for my emotional wellbeing.

The team at Critical Role reminded me why I fell in love with storytelling in the first place. Thank you for creating something that feels impossible to leave behind.

Sooooo.......

Like many this past weekend, I went to see The Odyssey.

And, well, yeah, I think the post says enough.

Defining a generation I think is a term that gets thrown around quite often. But is it truly ever meant honestly.

I think most children of any generation somewhere in life had a fascination, fixation even addiction to dinosaurs.

I was one of them, the feeling of awe seeing them march across my TV screen at a young age filled me with joy and wonder like no other. Not many could shoulder the role required to walk amongst such giants. Who would of thought a tame, peaceful, class act of a Kiwi would fill the hearts of generations to come.

Sam Neill was a hero of mine from a young age. Any act he was in on screen made me smile, frown, cry, and laugh. From Jurassic Park, to Peaky Blinders, to the hysterics of Hunt for the Wilder people and the intensity of the Hunt for Red October. He was a marvel to watch. I loved that man and I am grateful to say I grew up on this earth in a time he was filling the world with peace, joy, and excitement.

Thank you Dr. Alan Grant, may you rest easy.

Progress, not perfection.

For a long time, I thought I was a perfectionist. I wouldn't start things, or I'd never finish them, because I couldn't make them perfect.

But I don't think it was perfectionism. I think it was fear. Doubt. The fear of finishing.

What if no one likes it? What if I'm not happy with it? What if it doesn't become what I hoped it would?

The answer is simple, even if it isn't easy. You keep moving. You keep creating. You start it. You finish it. Then you do it again. You don't stop because you're afraid.

Lately, I've found it helps to look back every now and then.

Whenever I feel like I still have so far to go, or that I've achieved nothing, I remember how far I've already come.

Maybe that's what progress really is.

Not the big milestones, but the quiet moments where you stop, look back, and realise you're no longer the person who was too afraid to begin.

501st legion arc trooper Ahsoka paint?

The story of the clones by the end of the clone wars season 7 was indescribable. Any play through of OG Battle Front 2, I dont know if I'm the only one but I picture Rex narrating the journal 🙁😞

From flats to rendered.

Crazy to see how much time goes into each piece and the change values make.
