CANTON CERTIFIED.* Morgan State is officially credited with four Pro Football Hall of Famers.* Their greatness reached the offensive line, defensive front, backfield and linebacker corps.* Len Ford, Roosevelt Brown, Leroy Kelly and Willie Lanier carried the Bears’ legacy to football’s biggest stage.Swipe to meet Morgan State’s Canton legends.LEN FORD: THE PASS-RUSH PIONEER* Began his college football journey at Morgan State before transferring to Michigan.* Became such a dominant pass rusher that Cleveland adjusted its defense around his talents, helping create the first 4–3 alignment.* Earned four consecutive Pro Bowl selections and recovered 20 opponent fumbles during his NFL career.ROSEY BROWN: FROM ROUND 27 TO FOOTBALL IMMORTALITY* The New York Giants selected the Morgan State tackle in the 27th round of the 1953 NFL Draft.* Held the Giants’ starting left-tackle position for 13 seasons.* Earned eight All-NFL selections and nine Pro Bowl honors before entering Canton in 1975.LEROY KELLY: READY WHEN GREATNESS CALLED* Took over Cleveland’s backfield after Jim Brown retired and immediately produced three straight 1,000-yard seasons.* Won consecutive NFL rushing titles in 1967 and 1968.* Finished with 7,274 rushing yards, 12,330 combined yards and six Pro Bowl selections.WILLIE LANIER: “CONTACT” CONTROLLED THE MIDDLE* Became the first Black player to star at middle linebacker in professional football.* Earned All-Pro, All-AFL or All-AFC recognition every season from 1968 through 1975.* Recorded 27 interceptions and 18 fumble recoveries during 11 seasons with Kansas City. by @msubearsfb
