It’s a wrap! 🎓❤️ To think that one year flew by so quickly. I still can’t believe I committed to this year-long program despite my already crazy work, workshop, and writing schedule. And to top it all off… I deferred Harvard for this. The old me would probably ask, “Are you insane? It’s HARVARD.” The current me? Apparently, depth over prestige. And systemic work over common sense. What a year. Dan ada kekayaan yang datang sangat cepat karena biayanya belum dibayar. Dalam finance kita mengenal Cost of Fund. Mungkin dalam hidup kita juga perlu bertanya tentang Cost of Wealth. Jangan cuma tanya: “Berapa banyak yang bisa saya dapat?” Tapi: “Dari mana datangnya?” “Siapa yang dirugikan?” “Berapa harga sebenarnya?” “Dan siapa yang akhirnya harus membayar?” Karena easy money belum tentu cheap money. Kadang… payment terms-nya saja yang ditunda. Dan kalau kamu ingin membangun generational wealth: Jangan cuma wariskan aset. Sometimes we don't fear success. We fear what success might cost us: “Will they think I've changed?” “Will my siblings resent me?” “Will I still belong?” So we unconsciously stay financially close to the people we love. It can show up as: -Underearning or undercharging -Feeling guilty spending on yourself -Giving too much money to family -Hiding or downplaying success -Losing money after becoming successful -Rescuing family financially -Staying small so others don't feel left behind You don't have to share your family's financial struggles to share their belonging. Getting richer doesn't make you better than them. Staying smaller doesn't make you more loyal. Kadang kita bukan takut sukses. Kita takut konsekuensi dari kesuksesan: “Nanti beda sendiri.” “Nanti saudara iri.” “Diterima ngga salam keluarga atau karena ada maunya aja?” Akhirnya tanpa sadar kita menjaga kondisi finansial agar tetap “dekat” dengan keluarga. Simptomnya adalah: -Sulit menaikkan penghasilan -Merasa bersalah spending -Memberi terlalu banyak kepada keluarga -Menyembunyikan atau downplay kesuksesan -Kehilangan uang setelah mulai sukses -Terus menjadi penyelamat finansial keluarga Mengecilkan pencapaian agar orang sekitar nyaman Kamu tidak harus mewarisi kesulitan finansial keluargamu untuk tetap menjadi bagian dari mereka. Menjadi lebih kaya tidak membuatmu lebih tinggi dari mereka. Inheritance doesn't create sibling rivalry. Sometimes it simply reveals what was already there. Terkadang saudara bukan berebut uang. Mereka berebut siapa yang paling berarti. Yang diperebutkan mungkin harta. Namun luka yang belum pulih seputar masa kecil hanya ingin diakui. Kalau warisan menjadi papan skor terakhir cinta orangtua, semua anak akan kalah.
