Started as a quick photostudy, ended up taking way longer than I thought 😆

Another study, focusing on efficiency in drawing the lines in one go, then a quick colour pass.

Always struggled with colouring these sketches, but I think I’ve found a more comfortable workflow!! by @msyarts

Tried going at this ref again but with a better and more refined work flow.

Scroll to the end to see what my first attempt was like. Let me know if you think this is an improvement!

Fleshing out an idea I had for a flying house. Very much inspired by Howls Moving Castle.

Really wanted to capture the warmth and comfort that old fantasy rpgs and anime brought to me. Hope to bring more of this world to life soon. by @msyarts

First of hopefully many more of pieces that I'm working on for my personal IP.

I wanted to try to create a project that is really fun and helps bring back the childhood feeling of fun and nostalgia. Arcane, Tekkonkinkreet and Shinji Kimura's work were big inspirations for this as well as just looking for inspiration from my childhood and life growing up in Malaysia. The quick sketch and 3D mockup are attached as well.

Big thanks to @joshimushi for the feedback and support!!

More to follow soon! Hope you all enjoy :)

Tried a slightly different approach for this, normally I do a full scene in 3D and start from scratch. But for this I wanted to try a quick style and design exploration based off a photo.

Much faster since I could start from a really strong base from an undplash photo ref. Took about 2 days to get this done. But was fun exploring more painting methods and adding in little design elements and world building motifs.

An exploration piece from a while back, wanted to do something more fantasy. Another piece to add to the ever growing list of personal projects that I’ll inevitably have to sit down and sort out at some point!!

Have some more fun pieces that I hope will see the light of day soon!
