I've had a very exciting summer.

For those of you who don't know: throughout my youth, I took dance classes on and off. It was always a fun hobby to have on week nights, but was never my primary focus or what I wanted to do with my life.
After high school, dancing was only really something I did at parties or when I was home alone cleaning.
Once I finished my PhD, I decided to revisit dance. As I became more serious about dancing, I was lucky enough to become a part of @yinhedc and @knockout_chi - places where I didn't have to be a bright young 18 year old to succeed and build community as a dancer.
I know I will never be a professional dancer, but I also have now learned that I have what it takes to be a successful dancer in my corner of the world and I am so, so happy with everything I have done in the last two and a half years.
Huge thank yous to both of my dance crews, and an extra shout out to both @__lauren_christine__ and @yutonew who pulled me into this world and have stood by my side for both of our wins this year. by @mt.does

I took a lot of videos during the making procress of this cosplay so I could check how it fit and then realized it was a super cool way to visualize the making process! by @mt.does

Yin He got an amazing opportunity to help promote KARD’s <DRIFT> World Tour! With the help of @n2o4ent , our Pre-Teens and Kids K-Pop instructors, Gabby (@_oh.gg_ ) and Marissa (@mt.does ) got to meet and take a picture with KARD! And Gabby made wonderful gifts for the members to hold.

We had an amazing time at the concert! And we hope KARD comes back to Chicago again! Thank you N2O4 Entertainment and @official.dspmedia for all of your hard work on the tour and for giving us such a wonderful opportunity!

Showcase posting: proud dancer time.

It's crazy to think that I only truly started dancing again a little over a year ago (Just Dance and random life dance notwithstanding). It's hard to see progress day to day, but I know for certain my retention and stamina have dramatically improved over the year, and I am so proud of everything I have done in this part of my life.
Prepping for this showcase was fun, stressful, hilarious, and exhausting, but, as always, the best part is spending countless hours with the people I am lucky enough to call my friends.

Thanks for joining me on this journey, yall 🫶

And thanks as always to @yinhedc for bringing us all together.

Showcase posting: proud teacher time

I am so incredibly lucky to work with these talented, enthusiastic girls. Spending time with them every week gives me the burst of energy I need to make it through my days and I am so, so proud of all of them.

Thank you to @yinhedc, especially @isawastar and @__lauren_christine__ for giving me the opportunity to teach the kiddos 🫶
