‎⁨ خمسة من صانعي التحريك. خمسة نماذج لطرق مختلفة في العمل. خلال مشاركتها في مؤتمر الشارقة للرسوم المتحركة والكتب المصورة ٢٠٢٥، لم تكتفِ جوان باز، المؤسِّسة المشاركة لـمتحرك، بالاستماع إلى المبدعين فحسب، بل استمعت أيضًا إلى البناة وأمناء المحفوظا والمبادرين. هذا المقال هو رسالة حب إلى الأصوات التي تعيد تعريف ما يمكن أن تكون عليه الرسوم المتحركة عندما تكون متجذرة وصادقة ومحلية بامتياز.

من غرفتين في ماسبيرو عام 1961 إلى كاميرا أوكسبيري أنيميشن التي اشتراها حسام مهيب من لندن بنفسه، مرورًا بفيلم «الخط الأبيض» الذي تفوّق على إنتاجات عالمية في مهرجان الإسكندرية... هكذا بدأت نقلة نوعية في الرسوم المتحركة المصرية بأيدي الأخوين مهيب.

في مقال من المدير الإبداعي محمد توفيق، نغوص في تفاصيل الاستوديو الأوّل للتحريك في الشرق الأوسط، وكيف حوّلا الأخوين مهيب أدوات بدائية إلى تقنيات متقدّمة، وأنتجوا أكثر من 1800 عملًّا شكّلت ثقافة الشاشة المصرية و العربية.

The 1960s kicked off a Golden Age for film title sequences in Egypt. By the mid-1970s, titles went static. Less ambitious.
What happened? Animation is expensive. And the money just wasn't there anymore.
After the 1973 war, the country’s economy tanked. The film industry, now fully private, chased profit over quality.
The result? The end of a significant chapter in Egyptian cinema and animation.

أصدرت تيناريوين هوقار في مارس ٢٠٢٦ — ألبومهم العاشر، المسمى على اسم سلسلة جبال في الجزائر باتت موطناً لبعض أعضاء الفرقة. تسجيل عن الذاكرة والمنفى والعودة. يصل كرحلة سينمائية، والتحريك رائع.
لكنه جعلنا نتساءل.

Meet the opening titles for 1970's أصعب جواز, designed by husband and wife duo Haseeb & Nawal.
Three sisters flee their strict father for the city. One picks up a Bond novel—and suddenly, she's the super spy. Bond's in trouble. She leaps into action. Her sisters interrupt before she saves the day. Because that's what sisters do.

There was a distinct period in Egyptian cinema — 1960 to the mid-1970s — when opening title sequences became animated works of craft. And a handful of designers were behind them, from Antoun Selim to Abdel Alim Zaki & Farida Owais to Dalawer.
