Proud aunt and uncle here! We started the afternoon touring the Baylor campus and his house. Then, we got to see our nephew Jack and his fraternity perform last night. They and the other acts were amazing and Phi Chi finished second! We'll be back at homecoming next year as they will perform again. Our hearts are full! Thank you for this blessing Lord!! taken in Baylor University by @mthatcher1966

Lord, thank you for the blessing of running today! This was supposed to be marathon 4 (2nd in Austin). But, due to issues with plantar fasciitis, I went with the half.

12 weeks of speed training followed by 18 weeks of marathon training and two weeks being down with the flu took its toll on me.

Without having trained for over a month, I was able to hit my B goal for this race. Time to rest, recover, and regroup for a busy lesson week ahead with my students.

Thank you #austinmarathon for another outstanding race and experience!

Happy 17th anniversary beautiful! The Lord sure knew what he was doing when he blessed us with each other! The saying "I outkicked my coverage" doesn't due justice to how much I cherish our life together. Thank you for loving our family the way you do! by @mthatcher1966

Today we had to say goodbye to our little man, JJ. When he showed up @birdamae_hasfitnessgoals work, he was scared, scrawny, had burn marks on his back, and probably dumped. He was chipped but the owners chose not to reply to emails. So, we took him in. For the 7+ years we had him he brought us a lot of happiness. He had his issues, though. He had two eye surgeries and would at times, bite (literally) the hand that fed him. This got progressively worse as his kidneys were shutting down.

Even though he had his moments, he was a wonderful addition to our family! He was quite the lap dog. He loved to sun himself, and would often come upstairs to make sure I was getting my early morning workout in. If I couldn't find him, he was probably snuggling somewhere with Roberta.

Thank you @cibolocanyonsvet
for your care and compassion today. Y'all are amazing and we are so appreciative of all you've done for our fur babies over the years!

JJ, say hello to Kolchen, Chai Chai, and Gunnar in Heaven. Rest in peace, brother JJ! @birdamae_hasfitnessgoals and daddy love you and will someday join you there! by @mthatcher1966

4th race completed in this marathon build. Just my second half and it's actually a training run for #austinmarathon 2026. Not quite the time I'd hoped for. But, what a blessing to get to run in any capacity! After a few days of rest and recovery, it'll be back to training.

Thank you @birdamae_hasfitnessgoals for your love and support while I chase goals!

Thank you @michelle0919wilcox and @jackliljack3 for the prayers and support from afar.

Thank you @trackclubbabe for your training programs and support!

First of four 5k's and a half for my Austin Marathon 2026 training block. Not my best or worst time but a good start. Managed second in my age group. Next race in two weeks. #austinmarathon #bigfootrunningcompany taken in Ladybird Johnson Park by @mthatcher1966
