“Winter is Not Dead”…. 🌚 At Yukimi’s show, she spoke about a song she wrote about winter in Sweden and how there’s only sunlight from 11am to 3pm. Because of that, the forest and the woods may look dead. But in the ground it’s full of life, it’s buzzing, and everything is ALIVE. She related that on a personal level when you might be going through something that feels like winter, dark and cold, yet the wheels are still spinning inside you, tingling with life, flow, movement, innerbloom… even tho on the surface you might seem lifeless. Full circle tho —> I had the honor of spending Winter 2022 in Sweden and Yukimi shared the culture of their very liberating cold plunge, sauna-bathing traditions. We walked into the woods at 4pm, in the dark, so cold and raining, to a frozen-over lake where someone chiseled a circle so the community can submerge themselves in ice water, replenish the dead cells, releasing endorphins, awakening your soul through every chill down to the bone… and then you make your way to the nearest outhouse sauna cabin where you defrost in a meditative state and relax and contemplate wtf just happened haha Now repeat that shit at least three times 😮‍💨🫠 Her words at her performance actually brought me back to that very experience. Dead leaves and trees above, seeing life in the frozen water underneath — and then resuscitation through the plunge. WinterIsNotDead. In fact, it is the most invigorating, electrifying cold-burn I’ve ever felt as the 4-hour sunlight was replenished through the life underground… it is growth, rebirth, change, seasoning, light.. a transfer of energy. Resilience to never become stagnant is immortality. Keep going, Yuki. I love the changes… ☺️ I love the life in you @yukimiforyou taken in Sweden Göteborg by @mthefuture

It’s only right that I post this video as my special belated Merry Christmas & Happy Jollidays greetings to all 😍❤️ This year St. Martin was my favorite trip for so many reasons… one of them being this video ☺️
On this short boat ride back to St. Martin, I met so many different backgrounds and cultures from different countries. I started telling everyone my name is Magellan 🌎🛥️ Jk 🙃 But we laughed so much and had a great time that we didn’t want to stop hanging out together.

Anyway, I learned that people who sing Feliz Navidad in the beginning of May… are true masters of island time 😜🤙🏽 just like this Xmas post 🏝️ But swim towards people like that!! I promise they will float your boat and fill your heart ☺️ That’s my gift to you 💛 and this free bagpipe stream.
