For Blue Mountains filmmakers and screen creatives: Made In The West's Development Roadmap workshop series starts 1 October. Made In The West is a Western Sydney-based creative organisation supporting the local screen industry, including here in the Blue Mountains. This October, they're running Development Roadmap, a 3-part online workshop series for anyone developing a film, TV, or digital project. It covers the pitch, the money, and the strategy behind getting a project off the ground. Development producer and screenwriter Nicole Delprado leads each live session, which includes a workshop and an optional Q&A. It's practical and beginner-friendly; no prior experience needed. MTNS MADE Member Feature: Abundance Media Meet @abundancemedia.au, a Blue Mountains-based creative and strategy agency founded by Eve and Erin. The pair bring together strong visual storytelling and commercial strategy, helping businesses build brand ecosystems that are as considered as they are effective. Eve is a creative filmmaker turned marketer, bringing a camera-first eye and a genuine curiosity about what makes an audience actually connect with a brand. Erin is the strategic counterpart, a systems thinker who makes sure everything Abundance builds is financially sound and built to scale. Together, they work across social, content, and campaign ecosystems, helping businesses show the world what they really are. Made In The West: a Western Sydney-based creative organisation supporting the local screen industry, from Western Sydney to the Blue Mountains. Their next Online Networking Event is coming up on Wednesday 30 September, co-hosted with Western Sydney Filmmakers Hangout. Great things happen when creatives connect, talking through ideas and practice. It's a chance to hear how others are approaching creative life and finding success in local productions. Yesterday marked our first-ever MTNS MADE Retail Expo, bringing together makers and buyers from across the Mountains. Thank you to every maker who showed up with their work, and to the retailers, galleries, and buyers who came to meet them. Watching those first conversations happen in the room was exactly what this event was made for. Just as good to see was makers connecting, swapping notes on wholesale, local sourcing, and the realities of getting their products on shelves. MTNS MADE Member Profile: Julianna Sinisalmi Meet Juli, a Leura-based brand designer and illustrator working under the name 'Meanwhile by Juli'. Her practice spans brand design, illustration, and motion design, combining creative problem-solving with purposeful design that tells a story. Originally from Finland, Juli has called Sydney home since 2018, and made the move to the Mountains in 2025 as a passionate rock climber. Alongside client work, she's developed an illustrated product collection, Stories Were Told, inspired by everyday moments, places and people around her.
