Patriots fans have been asking: is TreVeyon Henderson competing with Rhamondre Stevenson for RB1?

Karen Guregian says no. Rhamondre will remain the lead back. But Henderson brings something different. She expects him to fill the James White role — third downs, passing downs, and explosive plays when the team needs a spark.

That doesn’t mean Henderson isn’t important. In fact, Karen compared his potential role to how James White was one of the most integral parts of the Patriots’ best offenses. Henderson could have the same type of impact, just in different ways.

A balanced backfield featuring Stevenson’s power and Henderson’s explosiveness could be exactly what the Patriots offense needs to take pressure off Drake Maye.

Do you think this duo can be one of the league’s most underrated combos in 2025? Comment below.

Efton Chism has quickly become a fan favorite, earning comparisons to Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman. Determined. Scrappy. Always making plays. The kind of player Patriots fans have always loved.

Karen Guregian praised what he brings to the roster, saying guys like him deserve to be rewarded. But she also cautioned that we might not see him on the field right away. In fact, she said it’s possible he could be inactive some weeks, even though he earned a 53-man roster spot.

That’s the reality of roster depth and game-day matchups. Still, if there’s one thing we know about players like Chism, it’s that they usually find a way onto the field.

Do you think Chism can carve out a role this season? Or will he have to wait for his opportunity later in the year? Drop your thoughts below.

For the 4th year in a row, MassLive’s Karen Guregian joined us to give her official game-by-game prediction for the Patriots season.

She’s already calling wins over the Raiders, Steelers, and Panthers… but also a tough loss in Miami. That’s just the start of her breakdown. Each year her predictions are one of our most popular discussions, and fans love debating whether she’s spot on or completely off.

We’re only sharing part of her picks in this clip. The full breakdown covers the entire 2025 schedule, every matchup, and where the Patriots could realistically land in the standings.

Do you think Karen is too optimistic, too cautious, or just right about how New England will start the year? Drop your thoughts below.

Check the link in our bio for the full episode and see how she projects the whole season.

Karen Guregian recently sat down with Patriots legend Ernie Adams, the behind-the-scenes strategist who worked hand-in-hand with Bill Belichick for decades.

Adams praised Mike Vrabel for his situational football smarts, but also gave Patriots fans a clear warning: don’t set playoff expectations too high yet. His reasoning was blunt and simple — the roster still has holes, and the offensive line is far from a finished product.

“If you can’t block, you can’t win.” That was his line. And it stuck with us.

We’ve seen teams rise or fall entirely because of their offensive line. Adams knows that better than most. If the Patriots can’t protect Drake Maye and open up lanes for Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson, no amount of hype will matter.

Do you think Adams is right to pump the brakes on playoff talk, or are fans right to dream big in year one under Vrabel? Comment your take.

Drake Maye is no longer the backup. Last year, he was sitting behind Jacoby Brissett, learning and waiting his turn. This season, the path is clear. The offense is his, and it’s already showing in how he’s carrying himself on and off the field.

Karen Guregian told us she’s seen him taking ownership — from how he talks with receivers in the locker room to how he communicates on the field. He’s more assertive, more comfortable in the system, and clearly stepping into the role of QB1.

It’s one thing to be the starting quarterback. It’s another thing to become the face of the team and the leader that teammates rally around. Maye looks like he’s on his way there.

How confident are you in Maye becoming the long-term answer at quarterback for the Patriots? Let us know in the comments.
