“Elizabeth Holmes was a single mother working at the World Trade Center when the unthinkable happened on 9/11. Her son, Reverend Travis Boyd, is now preserving her legacy with his book “The Purse She Left Behind.” He talks about the significance of her purse, his relationship with Reverend Al Sharpton, and how he has dealt with the immeasurable loss. “My story isn’t defined by tragedy, it’s defined by the vision my mother had for me,” he says.” - https://www.yahoo.com/news/videos/son-9-11-victim-honors-163642511.html by @mtravisboyd

Sharing highlights from the installation banquet where I preached for my godson, Rev. Dr. Miles Travis Boyd, as he steps into leadership as the new pastor of Sharon Baptist Church in the Bronx. It was good to see Pastor Emory Berry Jr and many familiar faces.

Congratulations again Pastor @mtravisboyd.

Sunday Soundbite: A Message in a Minute

The season may change, but God remains the same faithful, good, and unchanging. Psalm 100:5 reminds us that His goodness doesn’t depend on what we’re going through; His faithfulness carries us through every season.

What He did before, He can do again, because we serve the Same God in a different season!

Today, I had the honor of standing at the House of Justice in Harlem as the inspirational speaker for today, invited by Rev. Al Sharpton and the National Action Network and to sign my book in a place where history, justice, and empowerment live.

This was bigger than a speaking engagement. It was a moment. It was purpose. It was impact.

My testimony is my weapon.

Thank you, Rev. Al Sharpton and National Action Network, for allowing me to be part of this powerful day.

Today, I had the incredible honor and privilege of being at the TODAY Show, where I had the opportunity to share the beautiful life and legacy of my mother, Elizabeth Holmes, and reflect on her untimely passing during the tragic events of 9/11.
I was also blessed to share my new book, The Purse She Left Behind, a heartfelt story inspired by my mother’s life, love, and the lasting legacy she left with our family.

My prayer is that this book continues to touch hearts, inspire families, and remind us that although our loved ones may leave this world, their love, memories, and legacy can live on forever. ❤️

I’m deeply honored to share that National Action Network and Rev. Al Sharpton will be hosting a special book signing for my latest book, The Purse She Left Behind, this Saturday, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage, resilience, and humanity that emerged in the aftermath.
