Dry Creek Bed Landscape- I have wanted to do something to the front of my yard for years! My new neighbors gave me most of the big rocks. I have only spent a little over $300 in materials. Next spring I will add some more plants. by @mtwildflower48

Sourdough Kings Cake! Mardi Gras 2025. My students want to do some sourdough recipes so I said let’s make a kings cake. I have never made one so this is my first try. I think for the students we will roll the dough into two logs and twist together. Less mess. by @mtwildflower48

Have you ever seen a smoke colored wild turkey? This hen I spotted in 2019. This summer and fall a young Tom is with a group of Tom’s. Wild turkeys can come red, black, white or smoke-gray like the photos here. Those colors are more rare. I cannot wait to see the tom strut his feathers to attract females. by @mtwildflower48

Water was getting into my crawl space below the deck. I had to install a French drain to divert the water away. The deer came by and wondered what I was doing? I had to dig the trench with a garden shovel. It was not a big enough space for a shovel. So far so good! by @mtwildflower48

I feed the birds (chickadees, finches, nuthatch, crows, blue jays, turkeys, magpies) and even the squirrels and raccoons. I made these feeders so they would have plenty of food while I am away. by @mtwildflower48

Reupholster of my mother’s old rocking chair and ottoman. I used a Pendleton Harding twin size blanket in Navy. Also Pendleton solid navy for the piping and backs/sides/ties. Cowhide pieces for the pillow and ottoman top. I think it turned out great and I think my mom would love it! by @mtwildflower48
