If you know me at all, you'd know why popping out to see @vincestaples was an absolute MUST! Crybaby was such an incredible album, but hearing songs off the album that got me through 2024, Dark Times, was more than I could've ever asked for. Had to lock in to keep it P during "Shame on the Devil", but I *will * be cherishing this lil snippet of "Lil Homies" on video 🥰🥰 such a great show ugh! by @muddynewt

2025 | 2024 | The Energy for 2026

Last year I started intentionally taking self portraits. Not much different structurally than a selfie, in 2024 I was really trying to establish my selfhood. Understand my place in the world, who were my ancestors, and how to keep going when I had very very little in the way of success or certainty. I needed the rigid control of composition and signaling self through literal objects that couldn't be easily misconstrued.

2025 was about learning how to feel gratitude in my limited scope. How I could find wiggle room for my muchness in the home I had to become small to survive in. I let myself be messy this year. I let myself love people without fear (and let myself cry, when they didn't love me back), revel in the beauty that each day has to offer, and release the need for perfection and control.

I dont know what 2026 has in store for me yet, but I do know I have the capacity to be honest with myself about what I want, the power to execute it, and the grit to tell people to fuck off if they can't get with the program 🌱 by @muddynewt
