POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Sometimes the best stories aren’t the ones we make up, but the ones we finally find the courage to finish. ✍️✨

After an entire decade with dozens of countries & oceans between us, life is beginning to look a lot like the chapters of my debut novel.

I can’t wait for you guys to meet these characters (and the real people who inspired them…)

Life is officially stranger ( & more wonderful) than fiction.

All Those Summers is coming summer 2026 🤍

Um hi - I just maybe cried, shrieked, giggled and felt sick all at once because how wild is it to see your face and debut novel being shared within the community?!

First and foremost I want to give a huge shoutout to @iphigeniabythesea for contacting @beachmetrobuzz about my book to begin with but also to @juliasawickii for writing this amazing article.

If you’re interested in finding out a bit more behind the scenes fun facts - DM me for the link to this article!

Thanks again 🥹💕🎉

Guess what!!

Yup - another book signing… except this one is maybe an even bigger deal! It’s at the big Indigo in the Toronto Eaton Centre - right downtown !

An author took a stroll in the deep, dark wood.
An author found a book & the book looked good. 📖📚

The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson is one of my favourite children’s books. The rhyming, excellent use of imagery and adjectives makes it a wonderful tool in the classroom too!

Lately life has gotten a bit wild. Between teaching, promoting All Those Summers, book-signings, trying to write the sequel, trying to edit another book & then all the life that happens in between it’s tough to try and remind myself this life only happens once! I need to slow down, breathe and just be sometimes.

This weekend I’m planning on being this kind of busy. The kind of busy that looks like I’m slowing down and taking it all in.

I hope you’re all taking a minute this October weekend to do the same! 🍁🍂🍃 taken in BOOKSTA by @muddystories

Why is it so hard to write book number two? Or three? Or any book for that matter?

Does anyone else ever struggle with daydreaming or is it just me?

📚I’m a real author📚

Let me just repeat that one more time for the sneaky imposter syndrome that sneaks in whenever people ask me if I’m Trad or Self published. I am a real author! My third graders confirmed it! Google said so!

I’m wondering if other indie authors ever feel like this from time to time? Just me? Let me know in the comments! taken in BOOKSTA by @muddystories
