Unbelievably proud of these two!
🥇 @j.stewart49 — Junior National Road Race Champion 2025
🥉 @charliehoyle_ — 3rd

I’ve been working with this pair for a good few years now, two amazing lads who give it everything. They work hard, they’re willing to fail, they listen, they learn, and they never shy away from putting themselves out there. 🔥

When a performance comes together, it doesn’t have to be perfect. You feel the moment. You take risks. You reset when things go out of your control, and you don’t stop pushing until you cross that finish line.

Resilience isn’t built, it’s earned. It comes from putting the work in, committing to the process, adapting, listening, asking questions, and learning. Eventually, you succeed.

There are so many chapters people on the outside never see, which makes these results even more meaningful. 😊

Huge congratulations on earning those stripes, @elena_day_1 💪

Some mega rides from the riders i work with over the weekend. Every rider has their own story, and I feel lucky to be part of their journey. Coaching isn’t just about providing a plan….it’s about giving riders the tools they need to perform at their best on any given day, whether that’s in training or racing… because that’s what it’s all about.

@x2obadkamerstrofee round 1 and my first international U23 CX race. Made up 30+ places from a near back row start.
Love the Belgian racing scene. Back in just over a week for a 3 race block if I can get in with no UCI points.

And thanks to @jp_sport_wellness for helping me with my calf injury.

Got big goals for next season? Your winter training matters.

Winter is a great opportunity to improve, but it’s also easy to spend months training hard without really knowing if you’re working on the right things.

Should you be building your aerobic base? Adding strength work in the gym? Working on your threshold? Trying cyclocross or running? Or simply recovering more?

The answer will be different for every rider.

The key is understanding what’s currently limiting your performance and having a plan to address it.

At Mudiiita Coaching, we look at the bigger picture…your goals, your training history, your strengths and weaknesses, and the time you actually have available.

From there, we build structured training around you with a clear purpose behind each session and adjustments as you progress.

Because you don’t need to do everything this winter. You need to know what will make the biggest difference to your riding.

If you want to get to the start line next season knowing you’ve put the right work in, let’s talk.

We have a couple of coaching spots available so shoot us a message and let’s chat 🙌🤜

You love cross, but are you actually doing the things that will make you faster? 👀

It’s not always about more intervals, more hours on the turbo or buying another set of tyres.

Sometimes it’s the basics.

The corner you keep braking for.
The acceleration you don’t make.
The line you follow without thinking.
The gel you leave until lap five.
The skills you keep putting off practising.

Little things. Repeated every lap. Every race.

That can be the frustrating bit. Because a lot of the time, the speed is there. You’re just giving it away.

So, be honest. Which one are you guilty of? 😁

….if your answer is all of them, at least you’ve got a training plan.

Share this with a mate who needs reminding 🤪

Confidence isn’t something you wait for. It’s something you build.

One of the biggest things sport has taught me is that confidence doesn’t come from telling yourself you’re good enough. It comes from the evidence you build over time. The training, the preparation and the days you show up even when you don’t feel like it.

After losing a close teammate in a training accident, I went into a cyclocross season feeling lost and uncertain. I didn’t have all the answers, and I certainly didn’t feel confident.

But I kept showing up.

I focused on my sport, the work in front of me and the things I could control when so much else felt beyond my control.

Looking back, I realise that, without knowing it, I was proving to myself that I could keep going through one of the hardest periods I remember.

That experience changed how I think about confidence.

You don’t have to feel confident to take the next step. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly how things will work out.

Sometimes, confidence comes afterwards, when you look back and realise what you’ve been capable of all along.

So, when doubt creeps in, remember the work you’ve put in and the challenges you’ve already overcome and if you’re struggling to believe in yourself right now, don’t wait until that feeling changes.

Keep showing up. Keep doing the work. Keep building the evidence. ☺️

You might not feel confident yet, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t becoming stronger.

First round of the @nt_cx_uk in Derby and my first u23/elite race finishing 12th overall.
Form felt good but know I could have gone a higher position.
Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Mega efforts all round today at the National Trophy round in Derby 💪

Always good to get out, catch up with everyone and watch some bike racing. Coach brain never switches off, though… 👀😂… I saw a lot !

🍌 Riders taking gels with two laps to go. 🤔
⚙️ Late Gear changes 🤔

A lot of time it’s the simple stuff that can add up to make the difference … many little things to think about, plenty of strengths to celebrate and more takeaways to bring back to coaching.

I also remember going to cross races as a kid, watching riders throw themselves bury themselves racing around a field. Now my own kids get to experience that first hand, and I love that they get to see people choosing to do hard things.

I really believe those experiences shape you. ❤️

choosing to suffer is a skill in itself ! by @mudiiitacoaching

Why taking an off season can help you perform your best in season 🤝

It’s easy to focus on what comes next; the next race, the next goal, the next block of training.

But how often do we give ourselves proper time to step away from it all?

When you’re used to training most days, taking time off can feel strange. You might feel restless, worry about losing fitness or feel like you should be doing something.

But a planned break isn’t wasted time.

It gives you the opportunity to recover from the demands of the season, take a mental step back and look after your health as well as your performance.

For younger athletes especially, consistently training hard without enough recovery can affect things like your hormonal health and menstrual function. Looking after yourself now matters for your long term future in sport, too.

There’s no magic number of days off that works for everyone. The right approach depends on the athlete, the season they’ve had and what they need.

Oh and rest doesn’t necessarily mean doing absolutely nothing. Once you’ve had time to recover, you might enjoy a walk, a social run, a swim or trying something completely different.

The key is not to turn your off season into another training block. No pressure to hit targets, chase numbers or make every activity productive.

Sometimes, you need time away from structured training to remember what you enjoy about sport in the first place.

You don’t need to wait until you’re exhausted, injured or completely fed up to take a break.

Recover properly, enjoy some time away and give yourself the chance to come back ready to build again.

Rest is part of the plan. 🙌

A few things about the way I coach 👀

I’ll never pretend to know everything, and I think that’s important. If something is outside my expertise, I’ll help you find the right person who can.

I’ll always be honest with you, I’ll listen to your feedback, and I’ll adapt things when needed. Because a training plan is only one part of the picture.

Having spent years competing myself, I know there’s a real person behind the data, the sessions and the goals. Life happens, things don’t always go to plan, and no two athletes are the same.

I want you to understand why you’re doing what you’re doing, feel comfortable telling me when something isn’t working, and know that we’re working together towards your goals.

…if that sounds like the kind of coaching you’re looking for, give me a shout and let’s have a chat 😊🤝
