I’m honored to announce that I’ve been selected as a DVID 2026 Fellow with Kartemquin Films 🎬 This is a major step forward for Lawndale King a story rooted in truth, history and the voices of my community. From learning about Martin Luther King Jr. living in North Lawndale while I was at Central State… to now developing a documentary that explores that legacy and what it means for us today….full circle ⭕️ I carry and advocate for North Lawndale with me in everything I do. This is about telling our stories the right way with honesty, depth and purpose. To inspire! Thank you Kartemquin Films for believing in me and trusting this vision. I’m grateful for the opportunity and ready to get to work. Grateful for everyone who’s supported Lawndale King and pushed me to keep going. This is just the beginning…OnWard! #MudLife #LawndaleKing #Kartemquin #DocumentaryFilm #ChicagoStories BlackHistory Filmmaker Storyteller by @mudliferoc
