Sometimes throwing on the wheel is just FUN… humor has a place in the art world, don’t you think? I had the honor to see this piece sold and move onto a new home where I know it will be enJOYed! Drop by today before 6 to see the Spring Ceramic Show before it closes!

Students have worked so hard to create this wide variety of ‘Gratitude Jars’… I am hopeful for this inspiring group: Mairely, Kriselle, Rolando and Fadi!

Ceramics 1 is ending their year year presenting their amazing Gratitude Projects. So much love, hope and enthusiastic attitude of gratitude from these students. A card and a jar filled with a month of quotes to inspire the esteemed receiver. @sarahstartedit - I’m grateful for this inspired idea!!

Conveniently holds the rapid test vial! Stoneware angel that sheds starry candlelight. Testing to return to the classroom tomorrow, not worried about results, either way will be fine. 😬 Honestly, have not done anything riskier than a lovely walk @descansogardens ! Enjoy your day & Happy Easter!!

We ended the semester making a slab mug or tumbler; a three dimensional canvas to explore underglaze surfaces. A delightful variety of ideas emerged as students explored paper resist, sgraffito, and brush techniques. I am loving the diversity of surface! Ash, Mikaela, Kevin and Rebecca (clockwise from upper left) wonderful work - I can’t wait to see what you do next semester!

Winter Break is almost here! I think Karina captured the spirit of love and relaxation in her lidded Animal Vessel… I want what he had! I’d even share the bowl with that pup 😂
